Anyone seen the Time recently?

Just trying to find a review of the current tour.
Maybe someone could clue me in, I'd really appreciate it.

I saw them a year ago and they were stuck in 1984. I suppose they still are.

It has changed. They do shift a song or add another one, extend a part, do a slightly different dance, they keep it fresh, it's like reliving Purple Rain, why not!?! It's a really fun show!

I really enjoyed their the last show I saw over at the Los Angeles House of Blues. Just a week or two after the One Night Alone Tour hit LA.

The difference was that they played a loong version of Ice Cream Castles that actually I didn't want to stop! It was fun and the groove was just tight and super funky!

PLUS they added the main keyboard motif from Mazarati's 100 MPH in the middle part!!! Too cool!

They also did played around with the audience, girls, and Jerome and Day are as funny as then...they drew you into the fun!

The Gigolo's Get Lonely Too was great, musically because Monté played this beautiful melody in the long extended part. Really set a playeful yet slightly melencholy mood to the joint, song and performance, that mixed with the comedy was great!

So what if it's stuck in 1984, whatever, it was a lot of fun and I'm very glad they are still together and having fun and getting paid! Working (true) musicians.

Whatever you do go and enjoy the show, you'll leave with a big fat smile and a fuzzy feeling that REAL FUNK STILL LIVES!

Thank You "flyingcloud"!

Great review and now it is a must when they come to Detroit.
Funk is fun and timeless. Call it 1984 or 2024.

I knew I could count on the Org.

Seen them back in June of last year. They put on a great show and it did help that we were right at the stage, my sister got a chance to get on stage with them. It was great. They of course played all the old hits and jams cuz that's what we want to hear anyway:
Cool
The Bird
Jungle Love
Gigolos get Lonely Too
Oak Tree
Girl
777-9311
Chocolate
Fishnet
and many, many more they are due back here in Mobile in October and I will be there front and center.yay!
