depends on whether the venue is general admission or if there are assigned seats...either way, i haven't heard too many horror stories. the chicago show i went to was GA, and it wasn't bad. just get there early.

they're holding ticket giveaways (in ATL) right now on 107.9.
And the regular tickets go on sale at 5PM. And they're $60. [Edited 3/8/06 6:48am] "Pedro offers you his protection."

Six will be at Nation on Sunday and tired as a mofo on Monday morning at work.
By they way it took me 10 times to get the system at NPGMC to take my credit card info and confirm my ticket. Kept getting this message that the bank didn't recognize my SSL or some mess. So for all you folks getting frustrated just keep trying I guess the system was just backed up with folks trying to order. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll play it first and tell you what it is later. -Miles Davis-

In Houston, it was a three-hour wait outside the venue from the time they opened will-call until they opened the doors. Then, it was a two-hour wait in front of the stage. And it was worth every second of the wait. Wear comfortable shoes, maybe bring some chairs to sit on outside (you can store them in your car a few minutes before the scheduled opening of the doors), and if you want a place close to the stage, make sure you bring a friend or three to guard your area. That way, when one of you needs to get a drink or go to the bathroom, the others can guard your space. Prince sets up stage left - look for the microphone that has a row of guitar pedals next to it, that's where he will be. It's a lot of standing but I would do it again in a heartbeat. And I'm 47 years old.

YOU'LL LOVE THE SHOW! Don't feel bad if you don't focus on Prince as TAMAR is true show steeeeela! babytrese--get there early!!
they announced in the houston that the will call window wouldn't open until 8 p.m. but the line was already growing by 6:30 and they opened it at 7 p.m. Go straight to the line to get inside the venue...stand there until it opens. You may need chairs for both lines (unless they combine the lines and do it differely in different cities). I think the doors weren't supposed to open until 10 p.m. in houston but opened at some point b4 10:30... when they open...run to the front of the stage and get a standing stop STAGE LEFT (that's where prince is)...notthe side where the DJ is spinning! i don't drink and i would suggest anyone who does to chill out that night b/c if you leave ur spot 2 get ur drink on b4 the show starts as everyone is coming in and don't have 1 or 2 people holding ur spot up front by the stage, you'll probably loose it...or encounter some drama trying to back up there. houston had a VIP party afterwards wherein TA'MAR entertained fans but prince had already left. someone who was there told me she got a pass from a security detail at the venue. so try to make a friend who works at the venue. finally, come back here and post ur report chica! The only thing that stays the same is change!

They're selling tickets to the public down here in Atlanta for $60, and on the radio they're promoting it as a "Prince concert." That's going to piss some people off. Were the non-NPGMC tickets so expensive in other cities?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
In the other cities the non-member tickets were $50.00 but that could be for a number of reasons. But trust me, it's worth it. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Anyone know how many the Tabernacle in Atlanta will hold? I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.
