Just woke my ass up. Our boy did indeed kill it. He played Purple Rain to close out! It was just a tight set. Many covers. The thing that shocked me was that Prince played a Micheal Jackson song! I think it was "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough"(The twins even did the Thriller dance) Janet Jackson's "What Have You Done For Me Lately?" They did Sly Stone's "I Want to take you Higher", Ohio Players "Love Rollercoaster", Wild Cherry's "Play that Funky Music". I even heard Mary J. Blidge's "I'm Not Gonna Cry". Those were just the highlights. It was a very inspired set due to the fact that Tamar had her family in the crowd. I was hoping for Bambi or even Fury. We got a Partyman instead. All in all, a killer show.

Prince and Tamar ROCKED DA HOUSE! Man, anybody who went to see the icon play, saw a HELL of a performance and heard some of the funkiest guitar that made you feel like you were in that club seen in Purple Rain . Prince and Tamar had all of us in a trance. Tamar is DEFINITELY HOT! LOOK OUT WORLD! FIRST, HOUSTON PRODUCES BEYONCE AND NOW TAMAR!!! TAMAR IS FOR REAL!!! AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOU WILL WHEN YOU SEE OR HEAR HER!!!

With all the other accounts, the best I can add is...
AntBoogie was on stage, backstage, and spoke with Prince last night. It was quite a sight, Anthony center stage singing "Play that Funky Music WHITE BOY". He even made Prince work extra doin' the second verse. It was amazing, to be sure... Later, a few of us got backstage to hang at a private affair. The host, and hostess, were very gracious providing food, drink, music, and even a netflick for us 30 or so to enjoy. Prince finally emerged in a super-clean gray suit and spoke with most of us. (Don't ask me. I can't remeber)... Oh yes I do... I told P. that "the brutha with the braids that sang with (them) ain't never gon' let us forget about this night"... or something to that affect... So, folks, I figured that I better get mine in NOW... Way to go Ant! You deserved it. With much love from yo light-skinned brutha, Peter V.

Are we allowed to post photos on here? I have a pretty decent one from the show, which, by the way, was great!

i don't see as how it would be a problem. you're not allowed to take pics at his shows, but if you got 'em, i don't think it's against any rules to post 'em. i remember a pic someone snapped of him at a dixie chicks concert a few years back, there was no flak for that...and he was in the AUDIENCE. i'd think that would be more of a no-no than a prince performance shot.

Incredible show. Tamar has much stronger vocals than I initially thought. The big guy who danced on stage was crazy. It looked like Prince really dotes on Tamar. The Purple Rain tribute to her mother was amazing. No BL&B was surprising. It was well worth the drive from Dallas, 5 hour wait, and incredible heat in the club. Bottom line....She has some freakin pipes. (Insert something clever here)

Incredible show! I still haven't recovered from the experience! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
