it's at times like this i cannot stand the org, because i had just finished typing up this HUGE, long, drawn-out second half of my chicago show report...but then the frickin org didn't wanna post the damned thing and erased my shit. so, here i go again:

when the main doors were opened, a couple of rude-assed people--who had just gotten to the venue, as opposed to standing out on the sidewalk for hours like the rest of us--had cut right in front of us as we were about to go in. whoever ya'll were, you were wrong for the shit and you know it. anyway, after we all got our tickets and our IDs checked we headed in to the lobby and had to wait for about...man, i think like 10-15 minutes or so. when the theater doors opened, it was damn near a free-for-all as people started running towards the front of the stage (even though the security people were telling us "don't run!"). welp, all of us orgers ended up with a pretty sweet spot right in front of the stage, by the security barrier.

in fact, we didn't realize exactly how sweet a spot we all had until GangstaFam pointed out that the microphone in front of us also had a row of guitar effects pedals on the floor in front of it. in short:



...we were all at least a good 3 feet away from where prince stood for like the entire concert. hell. fucking. yes. close-up funk faces and Hohnerliciousness galore!!!!! out of this tight formation of orgers, The Circle of Sexxy was born (thanx to anxy for coming up with that name).

i'ma do this in pieces throughout the thread, because i know some of ya'll (who still aren't zonked out from the other night, that is...i'm just barely hanging on ) seriously need to add your bits n'pieces to my report, because there's stuff i remember...and stuff that i don't...and stuff i definitely do NOT wanna remember, but unfortunately do.

okay, so we were within instant funking range of prince and digging it. that was awesome...but the two drunk-assed girls that were standing directly behind The Mistress and i were not awesome. they were loud, obnoxious, rude as all hell, and...well, shit-faced. one of them heffas was bugging The Mistress, talking about "you're small enough, climb underneath the security barrier!" and "get outta my way, i'ma climb under the barrier and get onstage!!" and some shit about the 2nd drunk girl's supposed birthday being that night, therefore we should all move so she could be in front so prince could see her (and either ignore or simply clown on her drunken ass in front of everybody in the theater) of course, neither The Mistress nor i were having any of that shit and stayed in our place. one of them women had a damned drink with 'em and almost spilled her shit all over the back of my hoodie and dancing around and acting a damned fool. gaaaaah, why do some people find it fun to get drunk and/or high at a show?

...and ohmigod, not to mention the drunken whale tail one of the women was unknowingly displaying at one point and that The Mistress had pointed out to me and that anxy unfortunately had the pleasure of seeing (and scaring the shit outta 'im as a result)...that was just...just...'scuse me:

yeah it was fun. i had never seen prince that close until now. he's so pretty!

I was on the left side of the "Circle of Sexxy" and had to literally push those girls back. I guess they made their way towards you, sorry to hear that.

-- the look on anx's face during Drunken Whale Tail's debut = priceless

-- prince teased us with "bambi"...i died a little inside. then, i got revived when it turned out that the little bastid was teasing us with a few bars of the intro. that was just wrong!

-- the "party cop" who passed by the theater and said something to us over the car's loudspeaker (dunno what he said when he first passed by, but people laughed at 'im)...then he came back by bumping music over the speaker

-- "the letter seven" (i still think that's a cool idea for a tattoo!)

oh yeah, i almost forgot...what ol' boy wore last night:

first up: dark mauve suit with itty-bitty black pinstripes with a black blouse on underneath (opened up a bit at the top for the complimentary chest hair) and matching boots...had on the black doo-rag that he's been sporting as of late.

second up: black blouse with this rust/goldenrod vest over it that had this cool little pattern all over it...still wore the same pants and boots he had on with the first outfit...still rocked the doo-rag.

last up: a black suit with white piping around the collar & buttons and along the sides of the legs (they didn't go all the way down the legs--they stopped about mid-thigh/knee...kinda hard for me to explain, you'd have to see the pants in order to know what i mean)...the doo-rag was still in effect.

Aww, Thanks! I need to take the pick to a jeweller and see if they can set it in something and drill a hole through it. It will be my luck talisman. I had no idea I was getting onstage. This cool lady I was talking to online and then stood with up against the stage was saying how much she wanted to get up there and dance, so when one of the twins came over and said something about dancing I was pushing her forward and pointing at her.

Somehow doing this got me picked to get up there! Wow. Thud.

Also, I thought P. was leaving the stage when I scrambled for a pick, but just as I was getting up off the ground, having deposited the pick in the chest area, there he was. Blush!

sounds like a blast! i'm glad to hear you all had a great time. Sorry about the drunk chicks. That always sucks. I am deciding what to wear tonight in Philly. It's a cross between sneakers and bedroom slippers cuz i KNOW i have to stand outside then stand inside...

okay--all this talk about being close to ol' boy and i haven't mentioned what i think about tamar's performance. i really dig her voice--like i've said a couple times before on other threads, it's nice to see prince take on a female protege that can actually sing for once, as opposed to just looking beautiful and not much else. her stage presence and presentation was a lotta fun to watch as well...and for those of ya'll who've been dogging ol' girl about her looks: just shut up. kthx. that's a beautiful sista right there.

and don't get me started about the twins...oh lawd. i'd comment about their vocal skills as well but i really couldn't hear 'em when they sang. but that's alright, because they made up for it all by being total eye candy. it was really kinna hard for me to keep my eyes off of what was underneath their schoolgirl skirts. actually, the entire stage was full of absolute eye candy between the 4 main folks up there.

Iread all the reports on the Chicago Concert ,all the ones ,who was there sound like they had a great time.even the ones who had the drunks on their necks. Wish I was there. FAITH4LOVE.

Chicago was a really great time: Tamar and Prince were awesome but the part I looked forward to most and will keep with me from that night is The Circle of Sexxy: Anx, Nathan, Tiff, FM, Dej, 11, Nikki...I couldn't wish for a better group of people to spend the night with. I love you guys.
