i just saw that common is playing at the house of blues chicago the same night prince is playing in chicago. hmm... considering that prince is playing at midnight, i would not be surprised if common shows up at the prince show or vice versa.

Fox 9 news in Minneapolis had a news bit on the minneapolis concert and they were saying it was a Prince concert. Also, last night on WCCO TV 4, one of the anchors was excited because she got tickets and it would be her first time at a Prince concert. Neither station mentioned Tamar at all. Even the local news media thinks it's a regular Prince concert. I'm going fully aware that it isn't a Prince concert(but secretly hoping for a Paisley Park aftershow).

It does appear that the Star Tribune were the only folks to really get it right....oh well, at least based on the tix I was able to pull up from TM at noon yesterday that 1/2 the Orpheum will be Music Club members so that cuts down the number of folks who may leave feeling bamboozled...

Well, I knew the day would finally come.
I must join the Club. I won't drive to another state to see him, but dammit, if he comes to Detroit... I have to be there.

So Prince is having the weekend show @ 8pm and the weeknight shows @ midnight. That makes sense

Minneapolis must still have that law in effect about how late concerts can go blah, blah blah. . .

Anyways, I hope everyone going to the shows has a blast!

It's all about WHERE he's performing in MPLS. Had he chosen a club venue, he could go on as late as he wants, but all the theaters have rules about when they must stop performing...

I haven't had the greatest of luck with the club tickets in the past. For the first celebration we were way the hell up on the main floor (I mean way back) and for the Musicology shows we were further back then anyone else we knew (although I actually thought the tickets were good because of improved sight lines).
