one of the highlights of seeing Prince perform is being able to watch his high quality talents displayed right in front of you. You 'feel' the music when he's standing a few feet away, you may even have glimpses of who the man really might be. sometimes he just casually jokes when his mood is playful about any and everything that might come up. He's always dressed fine in funky, elegant garments. He looks healthy but kinda thin lately. He has a great smile and complexion. (my daughters do not date married men.) eek

Well on the plus side he puts a great show.

On the minus sign you typically end up WAITING in line and basically WAITING in general.

You also have to jump through a lot of hoops if you buy your ticket via the club; which doesn't happen with other artists.

Also he charges a lot of money for the privilege of seeing him.

+'s:

(Like someone said) incomparable talent and skill with a wide range of instruments.

You can watch him cue the band and get them on track when they mess up.

He has a tremendous presence and aura around him.

Great collection of songs to pick from.

He dresses funky and his moves and attitude are infectuous.

He's the best. Makes it look EASY to play a guitar.

-'s:

Sometimes cuts songs short or reduces them to medleys.

Meanders with instrumentals and drags things out a little too much sometimes.

Cancels frequently with no warning or reason.

Expen$ive.

Same show EVERY night (except aftershows, which anyone will tell u, is the REAL show)

Preaches/philosiphizes a bit; tries to be "deep"; expects everyone to "get it"

this week was 250 for 7 performances plus his guests and all the other stuff they had going on all day with speakers and listening parties and the free cd we got last night (that is up for sale on ebay ALREADY). i've heard people say that before they were able to get into paisley park shows for 7 bucks. during the ONA tour tickets varied but i typically paid about 90 bucks for floor seats and the soundchecks and aftershows which were free for members of the club. he's amazing to watch as folks have said. and sometimes he can turn a song you love into a song you absolutely will worship (not in the strictest sense of the word) when he does it live. on the flip side though he can also cut your favorite song short, get off on tangents, and let larry graham get completely insane on stage (just my opinion, what was up with the shoes last night?).

I cannot think of any minuses.

The pluses are:

seeing him perform live
his voice
being in his presence
his energy and sexiness

the list is endless

Just rent sign o the times the movie.

the only minuses are: expecting more and more each time because we are hardcore fans, so we get dissappointed with more mainstream performances.

And the waiting. Prince loves to make you wait.

But there are moments of such valuable intensity. It's worth the wait and the disappointments.

the one most important minus is:

U just never know 4 sure when or where he is going 2 play!!

e.g. what is next after the celebration:
- Europe;
- Japan;
- Australia.

or has the Tour already ended...

what are the highlights of his performances?

When he sings full songs

what does he talk about?

Whatever groove he is on at the time

what does he wear?

He has worn a suit a coupla times... don't liket he suits ONE BIT... funky clothing is a signature of P...

how does he look?

Beautiful Strange... he is just adorable

---

Finally... the main downfall to his performances is he says some really freindly things on stage... like how he loves us and we are welcome at Paisley anytime... that we are family - then he steps off the stage and is off-limits... ditto for the Park... so... so the reality of things are a bummer...

No, he doesn't dance, he just stands there. Now, Mariah Carey, she's not boring at all, at least not the way she works that mic.
