Montreal show I will try to give u some info on the last nite gig.
The soundcheck was awesome.Prince was joking with the members(i guess we were about90),he was very funny.At one point a guy in front of me goes like 'Thanx 4 bringing Rhonda home'.Prince says 'Hey Rhonda,ur boyfriend is here!'.He then asks 4 the guys name-Joel,and tells Rhonda-do u remeber Joel?She goes like-hmmm,yeah,we dated back in highschool.He also made some jokes on birthdays,and y Blackwell was looking down(crossword puzzle!). They started playing few minutes b4 6.The first song was Something in the water.I dont remeber the exact order,but they did Elephants and Flowers,The question of u,The one,fallin'(by A.Keys).Sorry guys,cant recall precisely. The soundcheck finished at around 7pm,and soon after a guy from Prince's entourage tells us that we'd meet at Le Blanc after the show. The show was like the others he did previously.I thought that the piano medley was shorter though.They didnt play Anna Stesia at the end.They performed Purple Rain though.During this song,Prince was doing some Bible talking,but it still was funny.He said that according to the bible u have to love ur brother,and he mentioned that the term brother wasnt referring to siblings,but to a complete stranger.He said we have to love our brother even if he's white or black,funky or un-funky(that part was too funny ,guys!).Well,after Purple Rain,there was some more jamming,and at the end he came onstage with a Montreal Canadians t-shirt that had Prince written on the back.They finished it off with Days Of Wild(Larry onstage too). What i thought was the funkiest moment of the show was that Clap ur hands 4 Prince&The Band jam.Too funky! After the show,i joined two guys and the big man that was onstage(he is very funny,believe me!)and we went to Le Blanc.We saw a black limo 20 meters away from the club.Im sure that was Prince's.Anyways we waited there untill 1:30,Prince hadn't arrived,therefore we left. One more thing i have to tell u.This is for die-hard fans only:Prince shaved yesterday sometime between 3:45-5:25! I was with a guy and his girl in front of the garage,when we see a black limo.So the girl starts screaming'Prince,Prince' and applauding.Me i was yelling too.And ppl believe me,Prince opened up the window and waved at us.I was so happy.Anyways i rememer perfectly his neat face,and his little beard!Well,that little beard disappeared by the time we were allowed in2 the theatre!So he must have shaved then! | |

Thanx 4 the review.
I'm glad 2 see the setlist vary throughout the tour. At the soundcheck I attended they performed The Question of U, but argued over which key it should be in. lol. Our soundcheck was mainly conversational with music thrown in-between. I guess it was because of the smaller number of NPGMC members. 1 question, is Prince still doing the 'is it better 2 give or recieve' bit?  | |

Thanx for the great review, but why have you put an angry face as the icon? Some people are like Slinkies...
They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs. | |
