What Classic song should Prince cover? I've listened to a lot of music in all my years and when I hear two certain songs, I feel the P-man can do it just as good or better.
BITCH- By the Rolling Stones, or ZERO by Smashing Pumpkins. Let me know your thoughts?

Vagina say I think Prince should cover Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven. Don't all of you agree? The lyrics are Great THERE"S A LADY WHO KNOWS ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD. And SHE"S BUYYYINNNG A Stairway to HEAVEN." Awesome with Prince on the Guitar. And just think of the video he could shoot for this? And he could be all hippied out with the scarves and things. Ah I see it now and I'm Dying ! Dying I said. Can't you see it?

Hopefully Prince will maybe only do 1 or 2 Zep numbers and won't go too far out on the Zeppelin trip.
Led Zeppelin is well known for having ripped off old bluesmen. A song that is widely attributed to Zep called "Whole Lotta Love" was actually stolen from an obscure blues record by Willie Dixon called "You Need Love. Zep later admitted this theft and paid a settlement. Go to the Zep newsgroup and do some research on the issue of their theft of blues songs.

The great thing about them though is that they reconstructed those songs. Listen to the originals and you'll see what i mean. I saw Robert Plant a couple of years ago doing a gig with his Priory of Brion act and they did the original versions of the songs they "borrowed" from and if it werent for the lyrics you wouldn't have known they were ever performed by zep. As for In The Light as a cover version, that would be an inspired choice, not to mention original (when it comes to covering zep anyways) Another good choice would be some Black Crowes, i know he did Jealous Again once but a lot of their material would suit Prince. He could seriously jam to that shit.
