Milty i have been wondering the same thing! P may be able to get away with those prices in the US but in the UK i think he's gonna have problems. In the US he's been much more visible, with even the odd single in the charts, all be it not very high. Prince hasn't been in the charts in the UK since Holy River in 1997, and that only got to 19. I don't think there’s enough hardcore p fans over here to sell out venues with tickets at that Price. Madonna may have succeeded but P isn't Madonna.

As for me, I may consider it BUT only if he ventures out of sodding London. Although I have friends down there, the extra cost of getting there would maybe mean I wouldn't go. Getting someone to go with me would be difficult too. His fan base has shrunk to virtually nothing over here. Did anyone go to the New Power Soul Show in 1998? Was it busy? the last time P played north of Watford was in 1995 with the Gold Experience tour. sections of Sheffield Arena were curtained off to try and hide the fact ticket sale were poor and that arena ain't that big!

I'd love it if he came to smaller theatres and clubs. But i don't think thats gonna happen. I bet they'll be one or two show somewhere in London and that'll be it!

I went to the New Power Soul at wembley Arena and Brixton Academy in 1998- They were both sold out- but maybe that was because he didn't play all over the UK and only in London
What venues do you think he will play in the UK if he ever comes over? average concerts are £30 ove here- I don'tthink he'll sell out at £70

It's actually about £100, which is fine by me.

If I remember correctly Madonna was charging loads more than that last time she played London, though I could be wrong.

Since you seem to be made of ££££, you can pay for my ticket as well. :p

If anybodys worth £70 its Prince.

That's certainly no higher than Madonna charged when she was last here.

Good for Madonna. wink
But chances are the shows (if he is coming this way) will be in London, and for some of us we need to think of travel costs, accomodation, time off work etc...

Forget you bloody poms, we want to know when he's coming to Australia. smile

Do you know how much $150.00 USD is in Aussie dollars? ...Me either, but I'm sure it's alot! ($285.00!!).

Luckily it's cheaper to actually hire the venues etc but I'll bet the tickets are not less than $200.00. Ouch!
