I don't know how you could back that statement up. Prince has toured in Europe dozens of times - even touring Sign O' The Times in Europe but cancelling the American leg. The last tour in Europe was only 3 years ago. The Musicology tour didn't make it over here, but that doesn't mean the next one won't. Besides, America is Prince's home country and a massive market to boot, why shouldn't he concentrate his efforts there?

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Well only because US is his home country, he cant expect people to travel to US to see his concerts everytime. The only time he gave a gig dates back 3 years ago, as you stated, thats surely not enough, is it?

I dont understand why ppl in Europe are treated second best? Thats rubbish!

confuse I live in Europe and have seen Prince perform in concert well over 50 times in the UK alone, not to mention the concerts I've been to on the continent, I'd hardly call that second best!
Some people are like Slinkies...

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Utter garbage. He's constantly toured Europe, because it's always been a strong market for him.

He didn't bring the Musicology tour over her, for the same reason he didn't bring the Purple Rain tour over here, he was making too much money on home turf to bother.

He'll be back over here, and when he's coming you'll here about it through the usual channels in advance.

I wasn't really too bothered about missing the Musicology tour, it was just a comeback hits run-through for the casual concert goer and fan.

Only 3 years ago isn't bad for someone who's been in the industry for 25 years - he's 40 odd years old now, you can't expect him to be touring all the time like someone who's just come into the industry. It's only 1 year if you managed to see him in the States.

All you can say is that you were born or became a fan at the wrong time - if you'd started in 1986, you'd have had loads of tours in Europe under your belt by now and wouldn't be complaining he never tours.

Generally speaking, he's toured every 2 years or so somewhere in the world, which is pretty good for any act. Who knows, the next tour may be for Europeans only and the USA might have to wait 3 years.

I travelled to Minneapolis to see Musicology and it was the best concert I have ever seen. I went alone to a massive stadium which was a much better venue than most we have in the UK (xcept the Apollo) and I will be really sorry if it doesn't make it to Britain, but I am sure he will come again and each time I have seen him I have never felt that he doesn't like his European fans.

I hope he keeps on touring - how many artists of his creativity, longevity and brilliance are still touring and producing better music than ever after over 20 years.

cool It has nothing to do with not caring for european fans. Each artist is responsible for paying the cost of moving his band and equipment to wherever they go. That money is up front. It is obviously less expensive for him to tour the U.S. than europe. I believe that he is one of the few artists that do care about his fans. We Love europe! You are our ancestral history!

cool Regardless of what anybody thinks, He can tour wherever he wants. Also he will make money wherever he tours, so I don't think that he loses too much sleep worrying about where he's going to tour!!!

DIAMONDGEEZA

Id like 2 c the purple 1 back in the uk one last time if this tour really is the end for prince rogers nelson on the road.Scotland in particular has some great memories for me at Parkhead football stadium in glasgows east end and at edinburghs meadowbank thistle football ground also over 10 years ago.People say im set in my ways but i dont see any modern musicians who come close to the raw talent that is prince. Its shows like pop idol and x-factor that has helped ruin the music scene and made it more difficult for real artists.Anyway prince for a return to the uk.I will pray to god for such a return 2nite.Please,please,please.

I was able to be at the 3 shows he gave in philadelphia last year for 3 nights staright, flying from out of the country to see him.
As a long time fan,i can honstly say these were no casual hits concerts at all.
Of course he does a lot of hits,as he does in every show, but with he's tight band and funky as hell arangments these shows were anything but ordinary.
