PRINCE ROCKED HAMILTON'S WORLD LAST NIGHT

HAMILTON OF ALL PLACES???

What a great show! The soundcheck was kick ass!!!
it lasted over an hour and he mostly just played, they seem to have been working out some of the celebration material. I can recap, but I am sorry for a full set list for the S/C and show we will have to hope someone was taking notes, coz I was too busy getting my groove on to write it down or even keep track!!!

The soundcheck
"how many are comin Saturday night? couldn't wait?"

Ladies-he was wearing a Maple Leafs jersey that was 4 sizes too big but hella cute on him, the loopy boots and white leggings with that cute white hat.YUM
He was in a great mood, he played Sweet Baby, When the Lights Go Down,
Strollin...ummm...there is a bit of a blur here (when Prince came down and sat next to my friend and I) I think my heart actually stopped for a minute. And its not that I am a freak lol or anything..but YOU have a superstar/genius/icon musician who you have followed for 20 years, most of which was reclusive, just come on over and sit down...it takes a minute to adjust..okay?
BUT the best for me was when he did Days of Wild! It was a 15-20 minute jam of this and it went everywhere from Fonkay to jazzy to techno(ish) to like house music!!! it was killer!!! I wish I could have been dancing to it!! It really was quite incredible. smile
It was sans the swearing..now I like the version from CB WITH the swearing of course, just coz that was back in tha day when he was a lollypop suckin, do rag wearing, cane walkin bad ass...but I hafta say this new spin is just as good if not better and I did not miss the swearing afterall. smile

The Show
Same set as most of the others as I recall..maybe a few changes/additons
He was wearing the grey suit, YUM!
Hamilton loved it. I loved it, he got me so in the mood to dance from the DOW warm up that I just had to groove! Plus it has been a month since I've seen the show lol so it was about that time from the next installment.
He saw me dancin and got me up on stage. That is so much fun!! Maceo and Greg came on over and just had to make me shake my money maker some more...fantastic!!! THANK U PRINCE!
Prince + fonkay music + dancing = happiness smile
Hamilton made lots and lots of noise. And he njoyed the show too I think.

I had 3 new ppl. who had never seen him before...I have created monsters they are hooked! I love when that happens!! They are like oh my god that was so great! how do I join the club?? can I get tickets for tomorrow??" lol

and now Toronto, my home town (and his now) I have My Mom, my boss, a co worker and 3 friends who have not seen him either but want to see what I am so mad about for themselves!! I know they will love it!

Excellent show! can't wait for the celebration!
Love to all the Npg Members who were in Hamilton!!

Prince, thank u.
"Are u gonna really just stand there and act like u don't want this?"

Hello Kerry,

Thanks for the great report. Sounds like you had a special night, getting to dance on stage and all smile

I noticed that you mentioned the new Prince fans. Please send me an org note if you or they are interested in quite a Prince collection. I promise you that this collection was put together in a spirit of love and admiration.

It would be great for a new fan because they would be acquiring an impressive collection all at once instead of taking years to put it together.

Please org note me if you are interested, and please let your friends the new Prince fans know as well smile

Kerry,
Everyone there wanted to be you!!! OMG!! Was that your first time on stage? I can tell you are a die-hard prince junkie...eek
I was in row 14...my friend & I. There was an amazon woman beside me..LOL, she stood like a statue all night, guess she was expectin the old school.
I guess there's not as many fans here as would be in Toronto..But this is a smaller city :s

Wow, that concert was the highlight of my summer..Great review you gave!
Too bad 4 us we didnt go anywhere "fun" afterward. But Im not used to bar-hopping...whaaa...
