Hi guys,

So it's pretty much official, the tickets to my first ever Prince concert will be pre-ordered at 10:00 AM mountain time tomorrow (May 24). He's coming to Calgary.

But I want to make my experience as enjoyable as possible, so I need you veterans to help me out. Please answer my questions as well as give any other advice you might have. Thanks a lot.

1. Ok, so I ordered the tickets. Now what? Where do I get them? Do I pick them up at the theatre, do I need ID, how much time do I have to get them?

2. How do I get into the sound-check? Does every ONA show give access to the sound-check? Will I find out about it through an E-mail, including info about time of check, or will that be on my tickets? What happens?

3. It's time to be seated. Is my seat designated, or can I take any seat in the first 15 rows? Should I get there early? Should I pick up my tickets way before getting there?

4. If there is an aftershow, how will I know about it? Do these cost extra? If so, how much usually? Should I get to that early, or as a member will I be guaranteed access?

5. Should I keep anything else in mind to ensure as awesome a time as possible? Please feel free to give me input on ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING. I don't care what it's about, clothes, transportation, costs, ANYTHING!!! I have been so looking forward to this show for the past 5 years, and now that it's come, I don't want anything to take away from the experience.

just kiddin...i say follow the e-mails. and enjoy yourself. i think prince would look u in the eyes and simply ask you "what... dont u like surprizes" ?. enjoy it, dont make it a rerun of a program u already watched ! enjoy the experience.

also be prepared to be BLOWN AWAY . "REMEMBER" refer to the e-mails often. see ya.

actually, all of your questions are answered on the concerts page on npgmc.com

aftershows are announced at the end of the concert, usually.

Go with no expectations, and have a good time!

U pick up ur passes the nite of the show at the theatre. All members get in2 the soundcheck automatically and their guest must have a pass also 2get in2 the soundcheck, actually they'll give u a wristband and 1 4ur guest also. as far as the afterparty, they will announce it right after the concert, once again u the member will get in 4 free but ur guest will have 2 pay the cover charge. well hope this helped u out a little, oh yeah 1 more thing, get in line early the day of the concert, it's first come first serve 4 the members u can sit anywhere u want within the first 15 rows.

If your tix are from the presale via NPGMC, then you will have general admission access.

The best advice I have is:

Line up EARLY to get the closest possible seat. If your choice is 1st row (but to the extreme side of the stage) or 2nd row center, go for CENTER stage, as close to his mic stand as possible.

If he is still providing sound check access, don't miss it! By lining up early at the venue, you'll experience the soundcheck. It was fantastic in L.A. 4/19!

The ONA concert was the best I've seen, beginning with Lovesexy 1989.

I am not an NPG member yet. I was sitting centre aisle - and my seat was 5 rows away from the stage!!! This was at the Edmonton, Alberta concert I attended 2nite (May 31). It was awsome and worth every penny. It was fun. This was my 1st show, and I thoroughly njoyed it. "purple rain, purple rain"... .
