Attention Toronto/Hamilton!!!!!

For all y'all members coming to these 2 shows, I figure I'll do what jseven and others have done for their respective cities, organize an ordered list for the soundcheck lineup.

Basically, it works like this I dont take credit for starting this idea, btw

the first person who gets there will have a paper and pen...well, not automatically, you have to bring it. so any early risers, might help to be prepared.

number the sheet.
as people enter the line, approach them, be friendly, explain what you're doing, and take their name down according to their place in line.

One important thing...u really shouldnt hold 4 spots in line. as you are allowed one guest per ticket, u can hold one place in line. even if that person isnt your guest u can be nice and do that.
i just hate thinking im 5th and then 7 ppl join the line 10 minutes before the show

first come first serve, ppl.

explain this is to prevent cuts that may occur during food runs, bathroom etc, but does NOT mean they can take off for 4 hours and waltz right back in...be fair ppl!

try and talk with security/NPGMC staff and get a feel for whats gonna happen, that they dont let us all in at the same time and have the lineup go to hell a la Excel centre, last June.

hopefully they'll let us in 15 at a time or whatever.

i think its a fun way to meet ppl and beat boredom, staring at the same 4 ppl who are good friends, but u just wanna kill after they discuss every outfit prince wore on every tour since he opened for rick james in 1979 in atlanta, which by the way they have the boot for!
:p

so if im there first or even if not, i think im gonna try and organize this, so hope everyone's cool with it.

since were all members i hope nobody is crazy and thinks they can take any place in line because theyre:
a)friends with security
b) promising to become "friends" with security
c)the biggest Prince fan in the world and destined by fate to be first in line or
d)jerks

and if someone is found being a jerk and disrupting anything for their personal gain, lets hope the majority will put them in their place. im not advocating violence... just a good dose of booing and hissing and maybe rotten fruit. soft fruit.

were all hopefully mature to respect a first come first serve rule, if u are so keen on being first, do it.

ok, so not trying to be totalitarian, just organized and fair.

thanks,

Bob

Sounds cool, but are you organizing this for NPG members only?

Hi
Hamilton will be my first time out via NPGMC tkts. What time do you suggest we line up for soundcheck? I only ask because my friend is disabled and won't be able to hang out all day. Please let me know. I'm a bit confused as to what this is all about. Thanks for your help
Lesia.

well if u get there close to opening time, you'll still get in and get a seat just wont be closest to the stage.
so even 4 pm should be cool.

Bob - I agree about trying to set up a "system." I have been to 3 ONA cities on the tour (Columbus/Cleveland/Lakeland) and have sat anywhere from 13th row to 3rd row. All of those seats were great - especially in these smaller venues. For people who can't get there early, don't stress out if you're not first in line - all the club members will have a great view. Plus in each city I have to say that members of the club were very cool about not cutting in line. See you in Toronto! (Bob did I meet you at the Celebration last year?) - Lisa
