Prince at Tiger Jam VIII with Stevie Wonder

This is from Tiger's website. Prince was the featured performer last year and it looks like he was there last weekend.

We had a great time at Tiger Jam VIII last weekend at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. We raised more than a million dollars for the Tiger Woods Learning Center and local charities through our auction and concert, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

It was cool, man. Just the overall success of it made us feel good about the cause. Special thanks to SBC, our sponsor, and all of the people who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it happen.

It was neat to meet Stevie Wonder for the first time. He was really mellow and low key. It's always fun to meet a musical legend. I've listened to him for a long time and he's written some incredible songs. It was exciting to hear him team up with Prince on stage.

Counting Crows also did a great job. They must have been good for me to say that considering I'm a Stanford guy and Adam Duritz went to Cal. I really enjoyed their music and so did the crowd. We also loved the appearance of violinist Boyd Tinsley, who was on loan from the Dave Mathews Band.

LAS VEGAS, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrities including Teri Hatcher, Conan O'Brien, Joss Stone, Kevin James, Jerry O'Connell, Greg Grunberg and Henry Simmons joined Tiger Woods for the sold-out Tiger Jam VIII featuring Stevie Wonder and Counting Crows. The event, sponsored by the SBC family of companies, was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 21.

Prior to the concert, patrons were welcomed by Conan O'Brien before bidding on a variety of items in the live and silent auctions. Some of the exclusive items up for bid included a fantasy football package that sold for $75,000; a getaway at Albany Plantation in the Bahamas that raised $80,000 and a Target World Challenge Pro-Am spot and putting lesson from Tiger that sold for $55,000. Guests then joined nearly 8,000 Stevie Wonder fans for a stellar performance featuring Prince, who joined the concert during the Wonder classic "Superstition."

Tiger Jam VIII raised more than $1 million for the Tiger Woods Learning Center (TWLC) and select local charities. The TWLC is a 35,000-square-foot education facility under construction in Southern California where children will explore programs in math, science, language arts and character development. The facility is scheduled to open in the winter of 2005.
