Prince at Tiger Jam VIII with Stevie Wonder This is from Tiger's website. Prince was the featured performer last year and it looks like he was there last weekend.
May 25 By Tiger Woods We had a great time at Tiger Jam VIII last weekend at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. We raised more than a million dollars for the Tiger Woods Learning Center and local charities through our auction and concert, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It was cool, man. Just the overall success of it made us feel good about the cause. Special thanks to SBC, our sponsor, and all of the people who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it happen. It was neat to meet Stevie Wonder for the first time. He was really mellow and low key. It's always fun to meet a musical legend. I've listened to him for a long time and he's written some incredible songs. It was exciting to hear him team up with Prince on stage. Counting Crows also did a great job. They must have been good for me to say that considering I'm a Stanford guy and Adam Duritz went to Cal. I really enjoyed their music and so did the crowd. We also loved the appearance of violinist Boyd Tinsley, who was on loan from the Dave Mathews Band. | |
