What's the use of an autograph, anyway?
I never understood why people always want them! "No one plays the clarinet the way U play my heart"

I never understood why people always want them! xactly! how does a person benefit from having another person's signature? just bcause a person's occupation puts them in the public eye, does that make them more important? eye do not think so.

i'll sign "Prince" on whatever you got It would essentially be as meaningless.

I'm wondering if perhaps people view autographs as suveniers, with the exception that they are free.
Everyone seems to want a special Prince concert momento, and after spending tons of $ on tickets a free autograph may be just the thing to get. I'd rather get a t-shirt... but this item is just as debatable.

he did. i'm no more shure if it was in columbus or detroit at the soundcheck but he did. I'm searching Tickets or Pic's of it 4 my page www.prince-live.com

The guy grabs a sharpie & scribbles his name. It's ink on a page - what does it mean? I don't get it, much rather have something with meaning - like the lyrics to a great song scribbled on a notepad or something. No, I cannot get the Sothebie's (sp?) auction out of my head... :O It's all such a bloody invasion...
