I don't know... Prince has a way of pulling surprises. If it wasn't on NPGMC.com, i would reserve some kind of doubt. I know the band do need 2 rest. that's 4 sure.

+ it do b tru that prince needs 2 start planning the 7-day celebration, cuz all those shows gotta b different or we'll feel gyped.

Damn... & No Vegas, huh? i'm glad i grabbed LA when i had the chance. i was just gonna w8 4 Vegas cuz i thought that would have been an off-the-hook experience.

& maybe while prince takes his time off, chillin' in "The Land O' Snow", he can think about pumpin' out the 1st 2002 NPGMC freakin' CD!

I'd understand since The Celebration is coming up, but DAMN ... I nixed an invitation to an Ani DiFranco concert waiting 4 him to swing this way.
And, at $250 for Celly tickets + $100 membership + $100/night hotel room + $250 RT plane tickets + $100 car rental + $$$food, DAMN!!! ... guess I missed out once again. sad Hopefully, my sun'll rise on another Paisley 2morrow.

I remember in that NPGMC chat about the 2nd year of the club it said Prince was going to do a Summer Amphitheater tour. I hope that happens, but I doubt it.

I don't know 'bout anyone else but I was looking very forward to seeing the Vegas show. I purchased nonrefundable plane tix, and a suite at the Alladin for my best friend's birthday present and the surprise was going to be the show. It's a good thing I caught him in Oakland. However, the lack of information on the npgmusicclub.com site with regard to the tour (i.e., all dates are tentative -- no current shows scheduled) left me hoping and, ultimately, extremely let down.

I'm guessing there aren't many fans left up here, or at least NPGMC members. Maybe that's why he bailed. The last big tour (emancipation) didn't do that well either.

Eye think he still might go 2 Concord California this year, a couple of weeks ago eye e-mailed the concord pavilion asking them if Prince was still going 2b there on May 3rd and they said it looked like P wasn't going 2b there until later this summer, so looks like it could happen.

I am tired of people forgetting WNY. Represent, yo! Buffalo isn't quite New England - we actually all talk more like we're from the Midwest.

When he came to the Fleet Center for the Emancipation tour it wasn't sold out, but the place was very filled. He even scheduled another date at the end of the tour at the Worcester Centrum, but he canceled that along w/ a New York date because he needed rest. New England was the first date of the Hit N Run Tour, and the Palladium was sold out. We really should have got a One Night Alone tour date!

I know this may not be on subject but...
One of the artists on the guest list for the celebration will be touring with his own band, so how can he play at the celebration?
silly, silly prince! smile
