Bump Squad Rocks!!! Big props to Jeremy, Chris and all the Bump Squad! I have to say that the shows this weekend were the most enjoyable experiences I have had when it came to the waiting process. Thanks to these kind souls, you didn't have to worry about a crowd of folks showing up just before the show and hooking up with friends ahead of you in line.
It was also nice to see old friends and make new ones. Shout outs and thanks to: (please forgive me, if I misspell your name) Karrie, Carrie, Jana, Kim, Sophia, Catherine, Bobby, Clay, Brian, Kevin, Debbie, Jenitri, Lamonte, Robert, Ben, Val, Tony and all the other great people I talked with during those 2 days and nights! I hope to see you all again soon. Celebration? Peace, Matt

Right back at cha'! It was a blast hanging out in line under the baking sun on Hollywood Blvd (where else you gonna see SuperMan, Elvis, Green PowerRanger, Crocodile Dundee, a potato spud, AND be entertained by a homeless comedian, while waiting in line to see Prince). Much thanks to Jeremy / Chris and the whole Bump Squad for the organizational efforts.

Matt, loved meeting you too!
And much, MUCH love and thanks to J7, Chris, Karrie, Karrie Canada and the whole Bumpsquad for keeping the line in order. Everybody worked together and looked out for each other, ensuring that we'd all have a great time and no nuckleheads could come along and jack someone's spot in line. L.A. showed that it could be done right. People for the most part were respectful of one another and everyone just had a good time and gave Prince MUCH LOVE Friday and Saturday night. You could tell at the shows and the aftershows that he was having a good time out here, too! All 7 and we'll watch them fall.

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!! And the BUMPSQUAD was in full force, ready to rock the roof off the Kodak Theatre! J7 you did a FANTASTIC job at hooking up w/ the Kodak Theatre and keeping things running smoothly! I know everone was exhausted, including me, but it sure was worth it!! THANK YOU BUMPSQUAD, you guys have really come A LONG way in a short time! So nice to see everone and know we can hang out, talk and laugh together (and even some of us sleep on Hollywood Blvd. Together!) Thanks for hanging w/ me Chris, I knew you would be there and it sure made me feel at ease!
Great seeing everyone. Things went so smooth! J7, Chris and Kerri-Canada GREAT job on policeing the line. It worked out so well! Everyone looked out for eatchother and knew they could count on oneanother! And one last BIG THANX to Jana, whom came all the way from Minny and held a spot for me! PurpleHeadz are the Best and the BumpSquad is the BOMB!

And I'm sure all the names you listed were first in line and or had front row, other wise it would not have not gone so good, cuz if they were not in front they would have blown by you like the wind to be front row like they always do!

When the BumpSquad set up the sign in list w/ only allowing 2 people in, they meant it! No one was able to cut, NO ONE! That even meant the J7 himself sat in the 3rd row for Sat.s concert, because he wasn't able to get there any earlier. Those were the rules of HONOR and they were stuck too! Quit being so negative! It was a GREAT show and people stuck together, to make sure things ran smoothly!

Awesome,
"...like they always do!" ??? lol I don't recall having the opportunity to "blow by" anyone since the three General Admission shows he's performed in Hollywood I spent the night and did the time to be in the front. Plus, if you actually knew these people, you will know that the man who started the whole organization effort was about 30 people back in line and he didn't trip at all. I didn't let him cut and he wouldn't have anyways. It's all about respect for each other. If you do the time, you deserve the best seat possible. Sorry if you don't feel the same way. Next time come spend the night with me and we'll be front row together! PeaceNluv, Chris G.

Oh please everyone knows the same California people always get in front.
I'm not being negative, I'm speaking the truth. "and people stuck together" the same California people always stick together, that's the problem, it's the same group of friends always in the front. Yeah you did the work this ONE time because of the way Prince is doing things now ... you had no other choice. That does not excuse all the rudeness in the past. Point is the same California people always get in front no matter what or where! "it's all about respect" I hope the California people give some of that respect to the others not from your state at the celebration this year. "If you do the time, you deserve the best seat possible" Great you did the time this ONE time. Don't forget about all the others that have done the time when the same group of California people have blown by them in the past. "Sorry if you don't feel the same way" I do feel the same way, that's why I'm sadden by the past acts some of the California people have done before this ONE time. Anyway I hope you learned something this time and will think of the others that have done the same thing before you blow pass them ever again if you have the chance. I'm glad to see you all flowed the rules of honor this time and I hope you will continue to be fair.

oh boy. Do we get a bad rap or what?
I organized this thing & I was like the 38th person in line. First day, I was early & still thier were people in front of me. What the line did was make sure NO ONE cut in front of ANYONE. No places were held. It was whoever was in plus one guest if they had a guest or they waited in line by themselves. The people who had front row both nights slept outside both nights or arrived early. I was like "screw that". I had front row the first night. I was too tired to do it two nights in a row. SO I got thier round 10 & took my place in line. I have heard these stories happining at Jay Leno & at the Celebration. First off, I did not spend the night outside for both nights of Leno. I got my tix thru NBC studios. I went there wed night of Leno to check on things & was suprised to see almost 100 people sleeping on the back side walk. I talked to a few people & yes, the same people who got front row for Leno were also the same people who got front row for the Hollywood shows. They slept out there & what not. Now, see thier was a list this time & so people knew that people were ALLOWED to hold ONE spot in line for a guest. Now who is to say at the Celebration, "these california" people were not holding a spot for thier guests & they ALL came together? It is possible right? There was no list to clarify that. Now when I went to the Celebration, no spot was held for me. I went to the back of wherever the line was at the time. Never did I ask someone to hold a spot for me. Never did I cut in line. ONE night I was there early & that was the night Nikka Costa performed & still 20 people were ahead of me. Big deal. I knew people at the front of the line. Did i go to them & go yo man what up? No, I stayed in line. See, I take this thing personaly cuz I helped do the list & keep the line in order. I do not care if I knew you since the 2nd grade or I was your baby's daddy. Unless your ass was in line when I checked you in, you were not getting in front of anyone. It is not my fault "these california" people get thier so damn early. Also one of "these california" people is from Toronto Canada. I am not a damn baby-sitter o.k. I run the L.A. Prince connection. I cannot watch out for over 300 of our members to cut in. I can watch out for myself & my ass sat almost 40 people back even tho people in line were like man, you are running the list. You are the exception. I told them NO WAY! IF I want 700 people to follow the rules n guidelines that were set, what kind of example do I make if I don't follow the rules? Oh well, I can't please you. You are a critic. I guess ALL the Critics Love you in New York. But All the Critics Hate you in L.A. Silence Speaks A Thousand Words.

Awesome,
Can you give me specific examples? You've been very vague in your posts. Maybe then I can understand what wrong has been done, because I've been trying to think of a time that I cut in line and I honestly can't. I'm always spending the night!! LOL Don't mistake obsession for rudeness!! LOL BTW, we're also the same people that have been putting on the Celebration BBQ at the park across the street from Paisley each year at our own expense. So you see, there's some kindness way deep down inside our black hearts.

Well, I don't know where this negativity is coming from because admittedly, I wasn't there any other time to see someone "just blow by" anybody else. All I know is that the line was handled remarkably well by the Bumpsquad this time, and though I was lucky enough to get first row Friday, I don't for one second begrudge the people who got it on Saturday because those brave and tireless people were willing to sit out all night for those seats. On Hollywood Boulevard, mind you. Can you appreciate the magnitude of that? All 7 and we'll watch them fall.

PEOPLE, PEOPLE NAH, NAH !!-
Katfish told me about this post & I could NOT resist..... Ask your self THIS Question. Are/Were you willing to do the work?? As I came out of friday night's aftershow, sweaty, tired, hongry!! I saw what I thought was a homeless person, NO! it was Cristina sitting there & I knew, I might have to do some MORE WORK!!. So I sent Katfish off to her friends cozy pad to crash & I along WITH Cristina, Chris & Carrie, Kerri/canada, Tamika & yours truly. Boy!, It got a little chilly- when all of a sudden,Desiree from Phoenix gets dropped-off,as her boyfriend (Cool Guy! BTW who DID get up on PRINCE"S stage & get FONKY saturday night!) drove off. BOTTOM LINE I could have slept in a bed, BUT this is NPGMC/PRINCE/L.A.BUMPSQUAD getting together, No time for tudes!. If "NELSON" does come back for some MORE love, You can bet I'll willing to do the WORK!! What about you ? FISH
