Tickets sold out at ticketmaster.com in 16 minutes. All of a sudden the early purchase perk from my NPGMC membership seems worth the money

Is Oakland a sell out?

I am surprised if they are having difficulty selling out in Oakland, with the huge bay area following.

I sat at my PC refreshing my ticketmaster session over and over again as 11am approached. As soon as they went on sale I purchased 4 tickets, 13th row dead center. At first I could not even get in and then when I did nothing but balconies. 15 minutes later there were no pairs available at all.

Well, I guess I'm not going! Darn! haha :+P Prince is very bad with timing in regards to the amount of time that he gives people to make arrangements to go to his show! :+P Luckily I have friday off but I doubt that if I join the NPGMC now that I will get any benefits. I would have happily joined if I was sure that he was coming here in the first place. I joined the NPGMC last time just for the special "perks" at the live shows but he never came here & now he's coming back. DOH! :+P We'll see what happens now. TAKE CARE EVERYBODY & have fun at the show! :+)

Ticketmaster got me.

I go through ticketmaster.com and have a pair of Section 5 row 10 seats. Enter everything within the 5 minute window... click to purchase... kicked out of the system. Try again... Sold out...No tickets.

I'm a grown man, and I nearly cried. This is without question one of the saddest days of my life.

How did you get sec. 6 row 4? i thought that the 1st 15 rows were for members? not to say that you aren't ,but you have seat numbers.....just curious. I will be there also !!! : )

My understanding is that up to 15 rows can be reserved for NPGMC members assuming that 15 rows worth of tickets are sold during the pre-sale. In Phoenix, NPGMC members (like me!!!) bought enough tickets to fill only the first two (2) rows so rows 3 and up were released for the general public sale. Thats why some non-NPGMC members got row 3 and 4 tickets.

By the way, they didn't release any seats in sections 1 or 7. My bet is that tomorrow they will release these seats as well so despite it being sold out, there still is a chance of getting some decent seats. See you there!

Woohooooo!!!! I"m so excited--I can't believe he'll be in Phoenix Friday! I've only seen him twice in concert, but I've told everyone that he gives the best concert performance of anyone I've seen. His energy is addictive and it will be hard for anyone to stay seated, I'm sure.

since there doesn't seem to have been alot of member passes sold, what time are ya'll planning on going down there?

just heard on the news that it might be windy and rainy tomorrow....yuk.

Ya, the tickets went fast. My b-friend and I stood in line at The Dodge Theater starting at 1am. I was 12th in line and wanted to cry as tickets were being sold right under my nose. We wanted to sit as close to the purple one as posable but only ended up with 4 seats in the $53 section. Hey, we got tickets right!

Now we are just looking forward to a great show and an amazing afterparty. Which leads me to my question-Does any one have any idea where the afterparty might be and will this place stay open after 1am?
