L.A. STILL has ALOT of LOVE 4 Prince!!! L.A. STILL has ALOT of LOVE 4 Prince!!! I just want to thank the L.A. crowd @ the sold out Kodak Theater concert tonight 4 showing so much love 4 Prince and providing such a good vibe throughout the whole show. I loved it when it seemed as if everyone in the house was dancing and singing along with the new songs he performed from "The Rainbow Children" cd! Prince felt this good-vibed energy through us, and in return gave us plenty of smiles, and a spectacular concert performance that actually included Purple Rain on piano (which he mentioned earlier in the show that he wouldn't perform)! We all had a great time tonight and it's one that I, and hopefully he too, will never forget. Prince and the crowd @ the concert tonight made my One Night Alone concert experince the most spectacular event of my life! Thank u!

Although Prince has performed Purple Rain numerous times in concert, it was really cool hearing him perform this song only on piano, and without the guitar solo. When he played that snippet of Purple Rain on piano during the Oprah interview @ Paisley Park, it was so beautiful! I always wanted to know how that song would sound on piano...and tonight, 5 years later, I finally heard it...on piano!

Since so many people have expressed dissappointment that Prince doesn't sing Purple Rain, I'm beginning to think that whether or not he plays the song just depends on the kind of mood he's in. But I think the reason he says that he's not going to play Purple Rain is so people don't get their hopes up and have that one song on their mind the entire show, and then feel cheated if he doesn't sing it. But then if the mood hits him - BAM! - you get to hear it anyway and then it comes off as bonus instead of a requirement. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Ken! It was cool hanging out with you and Peter. And Thanks for letting me use your cell phone to call my wife from the Highland club right before the aftershow started. That was the best Prince concert I've been to, hands down! Ciao, Aaron (the professor)
