Anyone else other than myself making the trek to La next weekend?!?!?!

Hi to all you Californians... You know, I can't help but to admit the disappointment that Prince did not confirm a Phoenix show... which was apparently going to be before L.A., that is if Prince confirmed it. Yes, I am from Phoenix and I did attend the last two concerts that he performed around three or four years ago... they were practically back-to-back (within a two month frame). The first one was at the America West Arena and then two months later he performed once again at the Desert Shy Pavillion. During the Performance at Desert Sky... Prince did mention a sense of disappointment for the number of people who did not show the second time... his words were "To all those who attended the last show and did not come tonight... F***'em". Prince's words were somewhere along that line... (no offense), but I was wondering if his ticket sells here in Phoenix were not up to his expectations, I guess only Prince would truly know. (?)

Sooo, now I am left to decide... either L.A. or Las Vegas.... both to be outstanding I am sure. We also attended the last two concerts in Las Vegas as well... Great atmosphere, we also saw many familiar faces like Halle Berry, Eric Benet, Tavis Smiley and a few others. I actually exchanged a few words with Tavis Smiley and Halle Berry and Eric Benet walked right by us in a casino and went to a table next to ours.... so either way, I am sure there will be alot of people at both concerts. Now the decision is... "Which one"!

I still would like him to come to Phoenix... but I must admit, I haven't seen too many org. individuals that actually reside here. I guess I am all alone... , and if I'm not... please, Phoenix people... speak up!

Alas, I may see many of you in L.A., I will sleep on it tonight. Presale goes on sale at 10:00 PT... not much time to think. Any suggestions... (smile).

yes! It's going to be fun, but not making the drive back that night.

Yup, I'll be driving up on Friday, and probably back home, then back to LA on Saturday as well... Still haven't decided.

Just watch the Speed Racer bit on the drive from SD to LA. I got a speeding ticket driving back from the JOTY show at the UCSD campus a while ago. In particular, watch out in the La Hoya area!

Other than that, C-ya at the show!

Freespirit, you're not the only disappointed Prince fan in Phoenix. Me & my wife are making the trek (ok, we're flying since AWA had a pretty good deal) to LA from PHX.
I did the same thing - anxiously awaiting tix to go onsale for the Phoenix show (looking forward to checking out Dodge Theatre) but once I saw LA was onsale, had no choice but to pony up. I'm disappointed that PHX got the shaft, but we'll be there on the 20th all the same.

Is the aftershow being advertised like for the Love 4 One Another tour (last time I caught Prince live) or is it the more traditional word of mouth? I would imagine that an LA appearance might draw some cool guests like the NY show....

I hope I don't have to go to California.. I'm planning on going to the Portland Oregon show but I'm still waiting for Ticketmaster to list the date. Is Phoenix the only date that was passed up? I hope P & the guys don't pass up Portland.. I already got the time off work to go - it'll be my first time seeing Prince live.. agh, pray for me!

I am working in LA and will unfortunately have to leave on FRi, can anyone suggest some good bars/clubs/hangouts for me.

My friend and myself are from London and havent got a clue about where to go in LA. I cant believe im missing the concert by a day!!!!!
