I saw Prince in concert during his Musicology tour in Nashville. After the concert they announced that we could "party with NPG at Rocket Town" later that night. Rocket Town is a warehouse where local bands perform in Nashville. It is a very small establishment about the size of a basketball court in the basement. NPG did show up about 12:30 am and started to play. After about fifteen minutes, Prince came out on stage. They had a regular jam session that lasted a little over two hours. It was better that the concert! I was able to get right to the stage. I was wondering, does Prince do this often? This was my first prince concert. Before I attended the concert in Nashville, I had talked with a lady who saw him in Birmingham Al and she did not mention anything about a post concert gig. I would love to know if this is common!!!!

As you would have seen at the concert, Prince generates a fantastic amount of energy. After a show he is so "high" that he needs a way to come back down to earth. He uses the after show parties, along with his band to do that. You are very lucky to have seen one and I know you'll cherish the experience for ever! The aftershow parties are common for Prince, but the venues are usually small so attendance is limited.
