If you listened to a singer, dancer, or entertainer to mold your moral beliefs, then you should be upset.

That was my point in a nutshell, but since he says he was joking it doesn't matter.

Has BVH posted here yet?

lovebird

I have attended 6 concerts from this tour, and I plan on attending the show in Dallas and others. What do you expect from him? I thought he really gave good shows on all the ones I attended. The guy is almost 44 years old. YOU expect him to act like he did when he was 25? Please! The poor guy broke his ankles and also hurt his leg in 2001,once you break your ankles you are never the same.YOu have a choice if you want to stand in line, and you have a choice if you want to pay for club membership. I loved having the chance to speak to Prince at the soundchecks.Truee, sometimes he says things that sort of get on my nerves, but he lives in a free country, he can say anything he wants. Have you heard some of the stupid questions and comments that the people made at the soundchecks? If you don't listen to Prince anymore, who would take his place?
I think Prince is an excellent performer and I think that some people expect too much.

I'm attending a Paul Mccartney concert in May and the tickets were 250.00 dollars for each one and this is ticketmaster price. All I'm going to get for that is a concert that I'm sure won't be half as good as Prince.

wow...what day is it? where am i? this is one long arse thread...okay, im sure not that many people are still reading this thread..so i will be quick and brief...here we go:

1) wellbeyond- must you always argue issues to the bone? does the phrase, "agree to disagree", mean anything? :p

2) i think prince needs to realize that with the creation of his NPGMC he has created a "service for pay" program..and if he wants this endevor to be productive he is going to have to listen to customer responces and change things to accomidate...the NPGMC is completly different then an album (which is art)...he cant be an arse and get away with it..not when people have invested time and money into the program..thats basic business 101...you all need to realize that customers have the right to talk about the service they recieved...which brings me to issue....

3) all you annoying people who post your silly two sentence slams need to quit. RESPECT other's opinions!!!

4) dmsr- have you considered writing to NPGMC about your issues? maybe prince doesnt realize how inconvinient he is making the whole deal for his fans.....i am thinking about starting a thread to discuss how prince and his company can make this experience a more pleasant one for the consumer..what are your thoughts on that?

5) i am one of those fans who havent really been digging prince lately..but i thought that TRC was an okay album and I plan on going to see Prince in Concord (with the whole NPGMC perks)....didnt go to the hit& run shows cause his concerts had started to bore me...I plan on wearing a white-tee with the words "FAN" in the middle... hey, if prince can be sarcastic and have a sense of humor..so can i..right?

Skleton you couldn't have said it better and with more class. Man I wish I could be so to the point! Thanks for the input. No I haven't written NPG but plan on doing it. I have heard some of the responses from NPG to others complaints are less than favorable or even encouraging. I don't run NPG or claim that I can make a difference, but maybe if enough people agree with me, we can make some changes and it will improve everyone's experience, and make Prince more money cause more fans will join. I tell ya these last two days have been tough. I look at my cd collection and all my MP3's and it's almost 70% Prince. Same with my VHS collection. This was a tough decision for me to make. I hope he comes back to what I grew up loving for the last 20 years. I'm not giving up.

Hmmm I guess I should add this ....

becuz I "feel" being honest and BOLD about now....

First "if the songs were not shared or written sitting in an arena without anybody playing and staring at a stage would B entertainment yes?"

Second "if the price of entertainment taxes to play in a city was a BIG ole SIGN that read "play here free" then ok...TICKETS WOULD B FREE."

Third "if the gas and buses and equipment and hotel rooms were free" then I guess FREE entrance would work...

Fourth "if U was in the band in stead of the audience...would U complain about the seats or...ahhhh hmmmm standing in a dang line"

Fifth "did U get to have fun with the other members and just dance and feel the vibe of the music" then its worth it...

Sixth "did U choose to pay to go to a show that U felt that U could have fun at not expecting more than to have fun no matter what"

and Seventh seventh seventh "next time...perhaps...bring an umbrella, GOD creates the WEATHER, prince dont."

Thank U PRINCE and the NPG for all the hard work that U do...for what the TAXES will take from U so U can share with others...SPIRIT IS FREE and its too bad that the systems arent either YET....MAYB someday over the rainbow...MONEY wont matter yesterday and it sure wont 2 nite...

BUT until ETERNITY SMILES>...I will continue to pay to support whatever it is...that I feel...needs to B paid....

SIGNED NPG the HOLY FAMILY member...year after year...

SingMia~Arjuna

PS I DONT KISS NO BUTTS I DO WHAT I WANNA DO...

and it takes ALOT OF MONEY 2 TOUR....

SO perhaps next time U go to a concert...NJOY the fact U CAN C it...I know some people who cant C at all..who would give everything they own 2 C it...

PS U have a choice in what U do with your money...FREE WILL = FREE CHOICE....

Thats a good point, I would not see any of these guys if they came in town by them selfs...it's like someone said, perhaps it should just be him {Prince} and his guitar or piano?
Next 5 years will be interesting I think, and DMSR I respect you posting knowing that you just put a log on the fire!!!!

For some one who's obsession is supposedly "over" you sure have started a lot of threads about him in the past few days.
