He never meant to cause us any sorrow. He never meant to cause us any pain.. . . .but pain it just may be as the folks in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler,Peoria and Gilbert Arizona may be left standing under a Cherry Moon wondering just what happenned to his Purple Badness. The official radio station that WAS promoting his arrival for a Thursday, April 18th date suddenly stopped speaking with no "nay or yea" as to Prince's committment to perform. The Phoenix radio station, Big Mix 96.9, KMXP, went so far as to place pictures and date information on it's website for radio listeners, and until recently had been quietly making on air references to his potential appearence. Needless to say NPG fans had been buzzing at the prospects. The stations promotional director stated that she was not able to confirm his attendance although there was still a tentative expectation that he might show. Ticket Master now confirms his attendance in Hollywood, Ca for a 2 day show on April 19th and 20th the day after the tentative April 18th show. The real aggravation for fans in Arizona is that as of today, Wednesday, April 10th neither the NPG Fan Club nor the radio station has absolutely confirmed a cancellation or performance. Although we all know that Prince could sell out within 30 minutes or 30 seconds the chances of his attendance grows thinner with only 7 days until what should be "Show Time". Arizona fans, although disappointed may have to wait for another day and perhaps another dawn.. . . . . . .
