Where's the "G" in Alphabet Street???? Can anybody tell me why in "Alphabet Street," the letter "G" was never said at the end? Any story behind this? Just a bit curious.

I thought it had something to do with a 'gasm, so to speak...I read about it somewhere, but my memory fails me. ~
Although I've seen your wickedness, I still love your effervesence. And I know that loving you don't make no sense, but I guess that's why I like it...

I'm fairly certain Prince has been asked this before, and stated that Ingrid's (I think it's her as The Spirit Child that's speaking them) mouth was otherwise employed at that point in the recording! I assume it was necessary to leave out one of the letters for them to time the finish on a particular beat with "I ... Love U", and by doing so it just created this tiny mystery, and Prince followed up with a joke to explain it away. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

To me, in place of saying "g," it kind of sounds like she's smacking her lips after just having eaten something...

Prince once said in an interview that he was kissing Cat when she would have said "G".
