NYC Show Sold Out

The online ticket buying option at http://www.lincolncenter.org for the One Night Alone show has been removed.

I could cry....tried for 2 hours straight, could not get through. Lincoln Center obviously cannot handle the call volume. There were also 2 different numbers listed...now wondering if I was calling the wrong one.

That may have been premature, as the Purchase Tickets button is back. But it still reads:

Ticketing System Currently Unavailable

There is a momentary delay in our instant ticketing system because of the high volume of tickets being processed at this time. Please resubmit your order by clicking the "Back" button. If you are still unable to complete your order, please call CenterCharge at 212.721.6500.

As it has been for hours now. So, I imagine it's sold out?

Are we gonna have our own line for The will call window or will these people be waiting in line and all mixed up with us?

The folks on the NPNY list have been talking about it. I guess we'll see what happens once we get there... for the most part, folks are coming prepared to make the best of the situation with the best of spirit and help bring some sense of fairness and order to the situation.

This is our responsibility to help make the experience enjoyable for us... so with a little initiative, creativity, and newpower soul we can make this happen!

Cooler heads gon' prevail sho nuff.

Well upon further thought, it really is a shared responsibility that is more on the part of the event producer... but that being what it is, we still gonna have to do what we can to avoid UGLY scenarios.

I'm not going to the NYC show, but does anyone know how many rows were set aside for NPGMC members?

I think club members going to the NY show should start thinking of ways to maintain an orderly line for the general admission. First come, first served. There should be one single file line. No bunching up at the doorways.

If someone is holding a place in line for another person, it should be limited to holding a spot for one person only. No one should even think about holding a place in line for 2-3 or more people -- not when you're talking about a general admission situation.

As the time approaches for the doors to be opened, like maybe a half hour before the doors are to open, security should start watching the line to make sure there are no late arrivals trying to cut in front of other people.

Wouldn't it be fair to say that Members can not hold a spot on line for another member or multiple members, but each member should me able to hold a spot for their 1 guest.

I think that's right. If one person of the two ticket limit holds a spot for their friend/date, that's fine. But the cliquey nonsense is a no-no.

What are you talking about? Did you NOT see the emoticon when I made that statement. It was a joke SHEESH! Get a sense of humor people... I won't appreciate a whole crew rollin up in front of where I am in line, and I wouldn't do that to anyone else.

I still think you should join me in paying a homeless man to hold your spot in line. Guarantee yourself a prime seat for less than the cost of a combo meal at Wendy's!
