Actually, I think Prince probably talks to Atlanta Hat Guy because he is NOT obnoxious. I've seen Prince avoid the rabid, obnoxious fans like the plague...he is scared and repulsed by them as he probably should be. Atlanta Hat Guy seems to be a fairly well-mannered and polite fan, and I guess Prince can appreciate that. And AHG seems to always get to the venue so early that he's down front where Prince can recognize him easily. So I think that's probably the reason that Prince notices and talks to him so often. Thanks Tony, Herb, Cooldaddee, and MrBags for having my back. MrBags, I hope I didn't run too fast for you! But did y'all wait for the girl in 4'' heels?

atlantahatguy! thanks for the great review...i just got my tix to the houston show...i can't wait! question: did you take a guest to the after party? i don't have a problem w/ paying a cover for my guest, but do they have
access to the same seating being w/ a NPG member? i would hate to to leave them in the back of the bar haha...thanks, again... xoxo

I had the same question myself, but apparently the guest accompanying the NPGMC member was admitted into the preferred area right in front of the stage. The only problem with this system is that is all based on the laminate that you get at the show and not whether or not you are a member of the club. So if two members of the club buy a ticket to the show together, then only one of them gets a laminate and only one gets into the afterparty for free. Also, if you don't go to the main show and get a laminate, then you can't get into the aftershow at all even if you are a club member (unless you stand in the regular line and pay). It would better if the NPGMC had a member list a the aftershow and checked I.D. to let members in, rather than using the laminate, but I'm not really complaining as the club is still great and I had a laminate, so things were cool for me. Anyway, Prince is taking care of his best fans pretty well these days and it is very much appreciated. | |

very nice report, ahg. as 4 the pen & paper incident--why bring 'em?? i don't get it....then again, every live show/paisley party i've been 2 i don't tell what wuz on the setlist. if there were any high points durin the nite i try my damndest 2 commit them 2 memory....then i wait till i get home 2 scribble stuff down before i crash 4 the nite.  | |
