Wait a minute, I read that the crowd started to boo her and prince told the crowd to be nice? Whats up with that? If Prince pulled her on stage and gave her a hug, cat suit and all, would everyone appluad? I was not there, however fans/fam do tend to be a little bias. Anybody out there got the nerve to admit to this?

I seem 2 remember making a thread about the problems I face in everday life as a female. Then I was judged VERY harshly and called "Sasquatch" "fat and "whiney" among other things, after pouring my true feelings out 2 all.I didnt get any apology but I do know that there are those who will get what the deserve for reading my thoughts and posting their nonsense. Divinity may have dramatized what happened, and in retrospect I acknowledge it, but the way U all reacted 2 her quite frankly reminded me of the way I am treated by yellow bastards who dont know me or care 2. It disgusts me at the level of insensitivity of people on here. I am insensitive 2 when it comes to political arguments or arguments about Prince...but when it comes 2 situations such as these where someone's feelings were obviously hurt (whether they took it the right way in YOUR eyes) I can only have sympathy. And "taking shots at someone's mental state" truly tells me u r the asshole of assholes--and that U outrank me by far. I wouldnt even accept this apology...but Im sure Divinity is gracious enough 2. I wouldnt be. [This message was edited Tue Apr 2 14:41:12 PST 2002 by Nep2nes] Sorry Nep, but no ONE outranks you in the asshole department.

No one is dissing Prince on this thread, it is Divinity who twisted the whole situation out of proportion and tried to make Prince look like the bad guy here. It has nothing to do with being biased, and everything to do with the lies that Divinity told about what happened. Maybe you did not read the original thread "Prince Brings a Disabled Girl to Tears in DC". If so, you need to go back and read thru that thread, then you will know what we are talking about. Prince, from what I read, was very polite and handled the situation in the best way that he knew how, even when Divinity kept pestering him to accept her CD. May this unfortunate incident be a lesson to us all. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Ummm, I HAVE read them in their entirety and understand the situation as it occurred. What's your point for that comment?? "I have had threats from people who "have a bullet for my head" are bringing their "duct tape & rope" & will be watching for me to "knock me over the head & drag me out" backed by many of you so-called fams. I printed them out in case the moderator deleted them." Whatever, I never made threats to "have a bullet for your head" or to "knock you over the head", so that statement is inapplicable as far as I'm concerned. "If Prince wasn't phased by my dropping the CD on the stage & our ensuing conversation then why did he print the new commentary on his website the day after? I suppose this is a coincidence also. " What post on Prince's website? I never saw it. Another lie. "Read it & tell me, what if Mona Lisa had no mouth?" What the heck does that have to do with anything? What does Mona Lisa have to do with Prince? Absolutely nothing. Another idiot comment. "Whatever, 'nuff said & now that Prince has expressed his point of view like such a baby, I definitely will never release mine & OarFin Record's re-make of his song." Prince never acted like a baby in this situation, YOU were. "NEVER pestered him to accept my CD, rather told him he had embarrassed me enough & I could not come & get it." Hmm, that's funny. That's not the way I understood it. "I find it funny that the guy who supposedly sat next to me, whom I gave a CD to, never criticized my music & was very nice at the event." He probably was too embarrassed by your actions to say or do anything. "Also to all you hypocrites who posted mean comments & sent me a private org note or emailed me privately stating a different point of view - you're the problem." No, YOU are the problem, because you can't come to terms with this situation and understand that was you did was WRONG. Prince is a busy man with a soundcheck to do. The other NPGMC members came to the soundcheck to hear Prince, not to hear you whine and misbehave. You might as well be quiet and slip away into anonymity, Divinity, because very few people on the org are believing you anyway. You are already the laughingstock on the org, why insult to injury?? Nothing that I have read on either of the two threads makes me want to change my mind, and I know many other people agree with me. How has Prince been a "baby"? It doesn't take long for people conversing with you to realize that you seem to have a negative attitude and quick temper. Perhaps this is why Prince didn't treat you as "warmly" as he did the rest of us. Why not let this drop and accept the fact that Prince doesn't want people covering his songs. Who cares his reasons; it is his legal right. Deal with it. Move on and write your own songs... not just songs that are "about" Prince or "inspired" by him. Considering the hatred that you appear to have developed for him, you'll be a lot more fulfilled if you just move on and look inward for inspiration instead of to him and his music. No Candy 4 Me

Uneducated? BWAAHAAHAA!!! That's a laugh. The uneducated one is YOURSELF. I'm not mentally disabled, YOU are. You made that MORE than clear in both of these threads. Not only are you the mentally disabled one, you cannot handle the truth, even when it is pointed out to you by MANY people. That is why you're resorting to finger pointing and name calling, because I proved you wrong, and you can't handle the truth, you're ticked off. I suggest you go to the store and buy yourself some brains and some manners. The "biaatch" is YOURSELF. I went to Freedom commentary section of Prince's website as you suggested, Divinity, and I still did not find that post that you claimed was on there. I spent a good 10-15 minutes clicking on all of the options and could not find anything about Mona Lisa or whatever the hell you thought it was.
So that leads me to believe that such a post never even existed, and you're just telling more lies. Even if Prince posted such a story on his website, I highly doubt that he would do so in response to his unfortunate incident with you. If anything, he just wants to forget about what happened, and I would strongly suggest that you do the same. You're not benefitting yourself by dwelling on it, and I'm not getting anywhere discussing this situation with you anymore either. It is clearly a waste of my time, and I have better things to do with my life than arguing with someone with whom I and others have proven to be wrong on this thread time and time again. Like the saying goes, "Never argue with an idiot, it will only bring you down to their level and they will win due to experience". Let's just drop this whole thing, and agree to disagree, mkay? RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

psychodelicide-the item in question is under NPG Commentaries. i've got it up in another window as i type this. it's the first item, Cover Up...seems that the man doesn't like the cover versions of his tunes, but he may not be able to stop it, being there is no legal precedent preventing one from covering another's material, as far as i'm aware of.
may have to back out the apologies now that the tabloid media has supposedly been contacted...not really sure why Divinity thinks this tactic will work, other than getting her name printed nationwide. in that case, congratulations. your 15 minutes starts now, and in 6 months, maybe you can fight Darva Conger on Celebrity Boxing...

Publicity? Do you really think Divinity would actually make all of this up just to get publicity? Divinity is not Brian Fellows or Nat Turner... she would never do such a thing No Candy 4 Me

Thanks, twonabomber, I finally found it. Funny that Prince doesn't like people doing cover versions of his songs, but he feels its okay for him to cover their songs. He even did a few cover songs at the Cleveland concert. I'm still not apologizing to Divinity for anything I said; she needs to take this like an adult and realize that she was wrong in what she did. Good lord...how fucking delusional can a person get!!!...lol...Yeah, Prince felt the need right then and there to write up an entire commentary about the aspect of artists covering other artists' material simply because your dumb ass dropped a CD on his stage at a soundcheck...LoL...It's scary that you might actually believe that, Divinity...you're one of those people who thinks that Prince sends out secret messages in his song lyrics that are meant just for you, aren't you??...It's preposterous to think that you have THAT much effect over this man...just one fan out of literally millions worldwide, and your irritating presence for 5 minutes at a soundcheck prompted an entire commentary about you??...Didn't you also think that he was referring to you when he talked about dressing up like a cat??...lol...Wow...both delusional AND full of yourself...what a combo...
