I get the feeling that since this could possibly be the only Florida date that there will more than the usual amount of NPGMCer's at the show.

I'm driving up Sat morning from S. Florida grabbing a hotel in Tampa, (all the decent hotels in Lakeland are booked as there is an air show there that weekend) then heading over to the show!

So put me down as being there!

I'll be there. My wife and I are driving down from Tallahassee Saturday morning. I was hoping he'd come to Jacksonville, which is a little closer, but who cares about 2 extra hours!

RaneStar, does that mean you are not going to make the trip.

I am disappointed that he is not coming to Sunrise too. Nothing like a concert in your back yard. I could have walked from work to the show!

Maybe he will stop back by Florida toward the end of the tour.

Count me in Florida! I'll be there (from Ohio!) For those looking for rooms, try Amerisuites in Lakeland (connected to the concert venue.) I booked one yesterday afternoon.

Good luck to those trying to get a Hotel in Lakeland.

I am concerned about an afterparty. If there is one, I assume that it would be in Tampa or Orlando as both are only 30-45 minutes away. I am not sure of any establishments in Lakeland that could hold and afterparty.

So I am just going to keep my ass in Lakeland and look for trouble there after the concert and possibly miss any afterparty that might be held anywhere else other than Lakeland.

You can count me in. I am also pissed that he did not come to the Sunrise Musical Theater. I live about two minutes from there. It would have been funky here in sunrise but if lakeland is the place i have to go. then i guess i will go there. Hope to meet up with some of you guys up there.

Good point about afterparty. I heard there are a few clubs in downtown Lakeland which is near the Lakeland Center. Anyone familiar w/ the area please post info about potential clubs.

I live in Lakeland & the only "large capacity clubs" are at the big motels (Sheraton,Holiday Inn,etc) Most party places here are the hometown bars! LOL!

I was hoping for Sunrise too.
It's only about a 30 minute drive. Lakeland is about 5 hours.

Pretty smart move on Prince though with Lakeland, It's right in between Tampa and Orlando, so I guess he get's both crowds instead of playing in one of the two and only getting the majority of fans in the one location.

I used to go see P whenever he was in Miami. I wonder why Miami ain't in the program anymore.

Maybe because the city is just to "in the latest fad" kinda fibe for 'ol P.

I really want to go but only with my wife.

She's 5 months pregnent now and she falls asleep by 10 every night.

Poor girl won't make it, I'm afraid.
