3/30 DC, my two cents

Tonight, it was about the band and not just the man. All the musicians were on their game and played well as a unit. Especially, Renato and Rhonda. Prince was appreciative of both their efforts in his comments.
For my money, Rhonda has rounded into the finest bass player I have seen in the twenty or so Prince shows I have attended. Btw, does anyone know what the aerosol spray was Prince was using to prepare his guitar? I assume it either takes the moisture out of the neck or puts down a fine powder to allow his fingers to glide better. Whatever it is, I got excited, because it predicted something special about to happen. Thanks for your time org!

The only thing I would say is that the current NPG Band has musicians with A LOT of showmanship. Prince of course being the lead showman, then Blackwell on drums, and now Renato on keys. But Rhonda seems quite comfortable staying in the background, which is fine because she's a great player, and her laid back style provides balance to the band overall. Besides that, she's very pretty, so all she has to do is stand there... and... look pretty! smile

Having Blackwell on drums instead of Kirk has made a major improvement in the NPG sound.

Kirk was a boring time keeper, while Blackwell slams!

Please the woman can play. And if she were just another pretty face she would not be playing bass in Prince's band.

Abucah did say that she is a "great player". By saying all Rhonda has to do is stand there and look pretty, he was simply complimenting her on how pretty she is.

Lighten up.

I'm as light as a feather. However, the remark was a tad sexist. I responded to that. Sue me. confused

Johnnie B-well is AWESOME! I read in a SPIN review of TRC in which they said he was "stuck on the downbeat", and not in a good way. Like I needed further proof that that mag was whack. OOOOooo...how "alternative" they r....

Apparently you aren't light enough. The comment I made was in no way sexist. If I want to give a woman a compliment on her looks then I will. Try not to read too much into certain comments. And if you're not sure what I'm trying to say, just ask and I'll tell you.
