And here I thought this dosabled girl cried for something good. I've heard the story and still don't know why Divinity cried.

tntsteele said: Prince did not humiliate this woman period. He politely asked her to get the cd, explaining that he could not take it. She continued to badger him, so he eventually gave it to his guard to give to her. He did not make a comment on her outfit he was talking about "Cats" the musical. When the crowd started to boo her he told us to be nice.
Exactly. And a lot of the people had been standing in line in the freaking rain for several hours waiting for the Will Call to open, etc. And she comes in and pulls this stunt. He did not insult her or her outfit. Her entire post is completly out of context just as BanishedBrain pointed out several posts ago. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm sorry your feelings are hurt.
But you did make a huge mistake. I think its your pride that is hurt the most. Prince is a superstar. He is not our best friend. You can't call him the next day and ask him why he was being an asshole, or whatever. I love Prince's music more than I love most of the people I know. As far as Prince. I love him because he is a person. And I love every person as much as I can. Prince actually did give people a chance to give him some of their work. Didn't he just do that "contest song" business? But as far as looking for recognition for a job well done, your barking up the wrong tree. I play Magenta in the local cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and have for a couple of years. I don't think I'm gonna be putting a flyer on stage anytime soon.. twitter: @newpowersoul

It's funny when people ask Prince for something and he does not do what they want how it could be turned around to make him the bad guy, the corrections soung more like Prince then what's in your story, glad there was more than one person there, Thanks guys.....

What in the hell did you being handicapped have anything do do with your story other than to gain unecessary sympathy fo something you srewed up on. Would you rather he lie to you and take it only to throw it away in the trash without listining to it. I rather he be upfron and say he didn't want it. He does have enuff of his own music to listen too. You post makes it seem as if prince was capping on your disability but it had nothing to do with it. Aside from you disability in handling criticizm in a public fourm. Honesty is a cool thing.

sorry but i think this story is total bollocks,if you were there then chances of you getting to stage would be pretty remote.and i dont think he would be such a bitch, besides his trouble with warner was over copy write so therefore i would be pretty pissed as well?????don,t you think!!!

XtrueX said: Would it have killed Prince to just hand the CD over to an assistant & just proceed with the soundcheck & not be rude? He's been so open & kind to fans so far on this tour & I don't understand this reaction he gave this girl. Does he really consider this THAT offensive?!
Because him accepting it could get him sued by her down the line. All she has to say is he used something from her cd on some future release. Why would he want to go through that bullshit. And why comment on her outfit? What does that have to do with anything? To everybody planning to go to an upcoming soundcheck: Don't wear anything a little out of the ordinary cuz Prince might make fun of you.
He didn't say anything about her outfit. She is tripping. Several people in attendance have pointed this out already. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you know Prince, Divinity by having been a fan for so long you would know how to approach him. You have have to know how to stroke him so to speak. If you don't you get these kinds of responses. Better luck next time. I'm sure you have learned something from this experience, and if possible change places. How would you like it if you were Prince and he were you? HMmmmmm I think you got it now.

Just to get it out in the open in light of this thread...
For the ones goin to the shows in Atlanta, y'all just better shut the hell up and listen to the show. Lets not go thru any of this Bulls*** on Wednesday or Thursday nite. Let the man play. He invited us to listen, not to hassle him. =============================================

what a lame ass story!
No wheelchairs, artificial legs or colosomy bags? This story could have been hiliarious if she had to reattach her artificail legs to go retrieve the CD from the demanding, embarrased and slightly apolegetic Prince when he saw the absence of lower limbs. Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Divinity: Are you going to clarify in what way you are disabled?
I went to your website and saw you posing in your lingerie and in very small Las Vegas showgirl type of outfits. You posted the pictures of yourself with Joe Pesci, Robert DeNiro and Tony Curtis. I think you wore your purple hair dye, catsuit and put your CD on stage thinking that you would get Prince's attention the way you have gotten attention from other famous men.

Ok, well I definitely agree with most of you on here where you say she should have known better, of course she should have.
BUT... are we not all entitled to make mistakes? I think we are, and she's obviously humiliated.. and this thread isn't gonna really make her feel better, but everyones giving there honest responses , so fair game. But I do feel 4 u... because obviously you are a sensitive person, and this did hurt you, or at least affect you quite significantly, or you wouldn't have expressed it the way you did. So you made a mistake, for a little moment in your life, you read the situation wrong and did something Prince asn't too peachy about. Don't let it fester, and coming to the org looking for a lot of sympathy probably isn't too likely as you can see. But seek comfort in your husband, he sounds like he's good to you and you guys have a good relationship, that is whats real in your life, and thats who your real connection is with, unfortunately it is not so much with Prince. If you are sincerely saddened by the whole affair in DC, I am sorry that you were hurt, but just put yourself in his shoes, I'm sure he didn't intend to make you cry, he tried to explain himself which is more than most artists do. He tried to make you understand his reaction. Everything in life does happen for a reason, maybe you can walk away (no wisecracks please) from the experience having learned something. Don't take it as a snub, it is a reaction I would have expected, don't take it personally... it's something he feels strongly about. You must see you do have some responsibility in the whole thing, but it's over now, live your life in joy, and don't let this experience affect you negatively anymore, it's nothing in the bigger scheme of things. He let you down, and I suppose others have done the same thing to you in life, we've all been let down one time or another, such is life, it's how you deal with it that makes the difference. Don't carry the anger and hurt around with you forever, it's not good 4 u, just amke your peace with it and try understand why he did the things he did, as all of us should try and understand why you acted the way you did. It is not a stretch for me to imagine why it was important for you to let Prince know how much he has inspired you, we'd all love to tell or show him that, but he knows... he knows collectively. Unless I got her confused after the soundcheck (which I'm 95% sure I did not), she was not wearing any "cat-suit".
She was wearing a black version of an Appolonia 6 outfit, lol. If you go to her webpage, you can see it--consists of black leather stockings with a garter attached. By the way, I saw her in the hallway 10 minutes after the soundcheck ended and she was not crying. I also sat in her row at the concert, and she seemed fine. At one point, she tried to leave her seat and go up towards the stage, at which this crazy usher made her go back. (This happened to everyone who tried to crowd the aisles--this usher was like a pitbull, lol!) So apparently Prince did not hurt her feelings enough to keep her from wanting another chance to go dance on stage. Her original post qualifies as the worst post in the history of prince.org or PPML. Hold up on my description of her--I actually don't remember the Appolonia lady having purple hair, so I could have gotten her mixed up. However, the lady I'm thinking of looked just like the pictures she has posted on her website and had that exact outfit on, so I still think I'm referring to the right person. Keep in mind that the lights were off during the soundcheck and the stage lights were being pointed on us, so it was hard to see her back where she was sitting. Although I didn't see her during the soundcheck, my descriptions of what was said is 100% true. There was no insult thrown her way. No Candy 4 Me

Since everybody seems to be in here for the time being, I just wanted to ask, how many people were actually at the soundcheck, meaning how intimate of a setting was it? Is it a few rows of peeps or a lot of rows? and were they all just hollering at the top of their lungs to try to get Prince's attention. Im goin to the Atlanta show on Thursday and wanna know what to expect as far as turnouts. =============================================
