JW's homophobes?

I wanna know.

Been doing some web research and have been running across a lot stuff about JW's hiding child abuse in their community's and they seem to be big homophobes.

Now, this matters when I am deceiding about this tour and how much to attend or how much music to purchase.

If it's just the music then that's one thing. But if I have to sit under the energy of hatred and bigotry while being preached at, well then that's another this type stuff carry's with it negative energy and Prince knows better!!

I wouldn't attend a church under these conditions.

How much of the show and music does he use as a platform for his new found religion? Just want to be informed.

Any thoughts? Look at these web pages on JW's.

What would this effect your dealings with Prince. Prince is not a Jehovah's Witness.

Larry and Tina Graham are Jehovah's Witnesses. Larry has become a friend and confidant of Prince. The Grahams have helped Prince with his Bible studies and with coping with the deaths of his parents.

That is all. Prince is not a Jehovah's Witness.

Energy1....just because Prince is now a JW doesn't mean that his concerts are now gonna turn into "Bible studies".Go to the show and see for yourself. He may incorporate some of his new beliefs into certain songs (such as the 'TRC' tracks),but there's no reason to get alarmed just yet:)

If Prince is now anti-gay,do you really think he will make anti-gay remarks during a concert??

Prince is NOT a Jehovah's Witness. He studies the Bible with Larry Graham, who is, but Prince himself is not.

For the millionth time, pick up the Gothom magazine from NY last year. It says he is studying the scriptures of Jehovah. It also stated by the end of the calendaer year, 2001, he was hoping to be a "writer" as he put it.

he had a JW wedding ceremony December 31st 2001.

This is not an April Fool's joke.

Prince is now a JW. Get over it.

Every two weeks someone says he is not JW. Have you listened to the Rainbow Children CD?

I think I am gonna post the same post about the Gothom interview every two weeks, sicne people fail to find it.

Here is the 2 Week JW update as OF April 1st.

I have been silent on this for quite a while.

Everyone, please track down a Magazine from NY entitled "Gothom". It came out last year. it states in there from a quote" I have been studying the scriptures (of Jehovah)but have yet to be baptized." The interviewer even did an interview with Extra talkign bout how Prince has found God n how he is finally on the right path. It goes on to state that he would like to be baptized by the end of the year. (that being the end of 2001.)

For those fo you in the know, he had a JW Wedding Ceremony on December 31st, 2001.

It is in the JW know now that Prince is one. The only thing I can say is that they know of this in L.A. & I was told he is one.

The only thing the girl told me that was weird bout Prince beign a JW is that no JW's are allowed to have gotees or Beards. A mustache, however, is fine.

Other things I asked the JW member was if it was true that they are not allowed to dance. She told me that was not true. They are indeed allowed to dance. As for having late-night parties or performances. For most JW's, a party that is of the late-night hour is not frowned upon. She said something along the lines of him being a performer & it was o.k.. I kinda argued with her for awhile why it would be o.k. for a JW who is a performer to have parties but not say someone liek her. Went back n forth for awhile.

The only problem I have talking with this nice girl is that every time we talk about stuff like this, the next day, she brings me over phamplets.

Again, please search for this hard to find magazine entitled "Gothom".

I love how all of you do not believe something until he says it. Guess most of you did not believe there was 23 positions in a one night stand until he said so. =-)

From 96-98 was the ONLY time in Prince's career where he was open about his private life. It is no longer like that. Prince is private again. Get over it. Believe what you want. Look for "Gothom" on Ebay. I am sure some more copies will start going up again...but be prepared to pay $30.00 or more, cuz this is the only interview where he admits to the JW thing, people who do not beleive it are the ones jackign up the price to buy it.

As long as Prince brings the funk, I don;t care what religion he is. I mean for all of you to get mad at him..over religious beliefs. Damn.

He can beleive what he wants BUT just don;t preach to me. =-) Came to hear 1 + 1 + 1 = 3, not how Larry turned Water in2 Wine.

J7 I have that Gotham magazine, and from what I recall, the writer/story only IMPLIED that Prince was a JW, but there was nothing from the story or directly quoting Prince that said he was in fact a JW or would in fact become one. It was left open.

After the story ran, the Associated Press and other wire services started reporting that he was a JW, and then other media sources started picking up the same WRONG story.

That doesn't mean he isn't one, but to be technical, if he is one, the Gotham article doesn't prove it beyond a shadow of the doubt.

Puhleeze.

Prince also gave interviews saying "it's all good" when he knew his son had passed away.

This is the same man who gave interviews saying he and his former wife were still together when in fact she had taken off for Spain.

In order to have a JW wedding, wouldn't he need a bride who is a JW?

Come on, now. Since when do JW women run around in mini-skirts and have affairs with married men and move in with a man *before* they are married?

I wouldn't advise anybody to go to eBay and pay $30 for a copy of Gotham magazine to get an interview where Prince may be telling his cryptic half truths and Prince version of The Truth.

Prince is now a detected JW.

He is free to believe and follow what he wants, I just want to be free to choose to sit under that energy if I want or not.

If he is just doing music at the concerts then it's all good. If he is using the stage as a platform for the JW bigotry and message of separatism, then that's another.

I just wanted to find out from those who have been to the shows all ready what the deal was.

Took me many of year to break free from the bondage of the born againer's message that I grew up under and was able to let my spirit evolve past the hate that is masked with these religions.

It affects me personally and I needed to be informed. No judgments passed.
