i went to the portland musicology show, and the day after, one of my co-workers came to me, and asked me if i went to the aftershow. she told me that a friend of hers was at a bar caled dante's in midtown portland, and about 1:30am they roped off the stage area, and then at 2:00am prince came out and played an hour set. my co-worker isn't a huge prince fan and wouldn't really know about the whole aftershow thing, and from what she said, it sounds legit, but i have not seen anyone review this, that was there on any of the usual sites. from what she said (she wasn't there, second hand report from her friend), really only the people that were already in the bar, saw it. if this is for real, i'm bummed. i have closely follow p for years, and been graced with going to about 5-6 aftershows since 1997, and they are the best, and it kills me to think there was one here, and i missed it. if anyone has any info on this, please post.

have you called dante's to confirm?

i'm sure if there was an aftershow, we would've heard about it by now one way or another...

i hadn't thought of that. i was trolling the usual sites to see if someone would review it. from my discussion with my co-worker, it really sounded legit, but when absolutely no one has commented on it online, i have my doubts. calling dante's would be the definitive answer.

well i called dante's and they said, that in fact, he did not play. he was scheduled to come by to hang out, but didn't come. which makes me feel a lot better. and, it makes a lot more sense, seeing that there have been no reports. i'm not sure what is up the guy who told my friend that bs.

My friend did tell me that he was "chillin" at bar XV (15) which is next door to Dante's. I don't believe there as an aftershow, I was so looking forward to it. Nothing will ever come close to the Roseland show.
