Prince Rocked San Diego! I just (literally just moments ago) got back from the show at the Cox Arena in San Diego, and let me tell you - rock & roll was alive tonight! The Musicology show is polished, exciting and (need I say it) FON-KEY! From the bounce of the title track to Musicology, to the stomping beat of DMSR, to the all-out fun of Let's Work (with a little Freek-A-Leek in the dark to boot), Prince rocked us from coast to coast, and from today to back in the day. Not only was he dancing like a smooth moving train, he really shared his sense of humor with us, and that's a good gift to see in use.
There were two other things that I really like about the show tonight. First, was the acoustic set, mid-point through the show, and especially when he took us back "three hours before On the Couch." I know Prince has a sense of humor, but he had us rolling in the aisles with this one. Also, being that I do tend to pick up everything that Prince puts out as soon after it is released, I was very refreshed to hear segments like the jazzy segment to Pop Life, for example. It shows how one tour merges into the next. You might say I got more than my money's worth on this one. (Eye wonder what he'll do on the next tour?) Other of the almost 30 songs that were included were: A Love Bizarre, Call My Name (pleasant surprise), I Feel 4 U, Let's Go Crazy, and, of course, Purple Rain, as the encore. "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" was playing as I walked into the Cox Arena, and it certainly was. I also go to share this experience with two good friends of mine, and that made it even more beautiful. Thank you, Prince and the N.P.G. - please come back and play for us next tour!

WOW! All I can say is . . . Prince . . . You are without a doubt the real . . . ."MUSIC MAN." I can't say enough. Thanks to NPGMC for the great seats in section KK, row 8. I've been to two other shows (1rst LA show @ staples and then the 2nd show in Vegas). Wasn't planning on going to one more concert but I am sure glad that I did. Our seats were near the ailse in KK and so when Prince came out on the cat walk on our side you could really see him up close. I like that his songs were a little different than the other two previous concerts I attended and that was GREAT. When he sang "CALL MY NAME" it was like watching an artist paint a great work of Art! Pure Perfection! Prince was dancing and interacting a lot during the concert and I thoroughly enjoyed that part of his show. I was in stitches during his acoustic set. What a fantastic sense of "humor". I also loved how he pulled a mature female fan from the audience and started to share dance moves with her one on one (which was on our side of the stage so we really got to see this brilliant exchange up close). You know she really did great and of course PRINCE hasn't lost it either. He displayed some great moves.
As far as I am concerned, Prince is "KING" when it comes to real music and real entertainment. Thank you so much to Prince, band mates (Candy, Rhonda, Maceo, John) and all the NPGMC crew members for all the fond memories. PEACE!

The show was great, and if you remember the only guy that made it on stage. That was me! I've always dream about getting up there and on Sept.5 Prince made this dream come true. Him picking me out of the crowd was even better. PRINCE I LOVE YOU MANNNNN.

^ I saw you!! You looked like you had a great time man! Were you wearing purple? Cause everyone he brought up for that part was awearing purple.
Anywho, the concert was AMAZING. That was my first Prince concert. I'm 18 years old and to know that Prince has been rockin' like this waaay before I was born is just so cool. I definitely want to see him again. He's one of those artists you just can't get enough of and I wanted more. LOL. My throat is sore, my feet and legs hurt and I'm still buzzed from last night but it was SO worth it. I'm lil startruck too. I was in row the 13th row (MM) and that's the closest I ever been to the stage at a concert and to see Prince that close was just great for me. I can finally say I saw legend. "You got a new man? Is he fine? Does he have a better ass than mine? Didn't think so.."

This show at Cox was AWESOME! This is my 5th time seeing him live, (1999 tour, Purple Rain tour, Jam of The Year tour, Hit & Run Tour are the previous ones) and he just gets better with time! He was charismatic, funny, and not to mention his musical skills, and THAT VOICE!! My friend and I sat next to a married couple and he wasn't a big fan (so he said before the show) but when it ended, I looked over at him and said.."Well?" He just shook his head and smiled and said "I am floored! I expected a fairly entertaining show, but he just rocked the house!" He didn't tell me anything I didn't already know!! Another thing that I found to be cool was that there were so many different ages, races, sexual orientations, true Rainbow Children! My only complaint (and it has nothing to do with Prince) is the casual, beach bum attire a good percentage of the crowd wore! Don't people dress up anymore? Other than that, it was C-O-O-L! If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!
