I am pumped for what will have to be one of my best weekends ever (excluding my wedding weekend). I am going to 3 shows in Cali next weekend, Sac, Fresno and San Diego. I live in Orange County but my family lives in No. Cal. But more special than the 3 shows is why and who i'm attending them with;

1. In Sac. i'm taking my dad to his first P. concert and the first show he and I have ever attended together. My dad loves "real music" and i just know he's going to be blown away by the show.
2. On my way back to So. Cal I went ahead and picked up a single ticket for Fresno. I've gone to 14 shows since my first in '82...the Fresno show will be my first show i attended by myself since the '86 Parade show in Bay Area. I'm really looking forward to not introducing others to the man and just enjoying the music and performance to myself.
3. This is the biggie. Get back in So. Cal. Sunday morning and take my daughter to her 1st concert ever for her 8th birthday. She is super excited and I can't wait to watch her take it all in. She's been listening to a concert companion mix cd i made her for the last month and she's got the lyrics down and her tambourine ready. We have Member seats of course and wouldn't it just cap off the weekend and her 1st experience if she were to get on stage. Either way it will be amazing...i only hope P. is still tearing it up 5 or 6 years from now so i can take my 2 year old when the time is right.

Just had to tell those i knew could appreciate what a special weekend this will be since i'm in countdown mode and about to explode!!
