How goddam great is this part of the show: "People call me rude, I wish we all were nude, I wish there was no black and white, I wish SOMEBODY WOULD CLAP YO HANDS!" with the spotlight beaming out from JB's bass drum?
The visual of P in outline, Controversy steaming along...man, I wish there were no rules -- and MCI was TOMORROW, not last Friday...

That spotlight beaming from JB's drum kit cast an absolutely spectacular shadow outline of Prince over the audience! Especially the 2nd night, when we were sitting directly behind John Blackwell, we had an amazing view of the light casting those massive shadows.

This also borught back awesome memories of one of the first times I saw Prince on TV performing "Little Red Corvett" sitting on the bass drum on Solid Gold"
That litup drum is for the old skool fans and I agree, Controversy full version was one of the highlights of my entire fucking summer!!!! ______________________________________________

i feel you and i don't mean to ride on your thread but one of my favorite parts of the show is when he sings When Doves Cry and he busts into "Kiss". I LOVE THAT! 1 Thessalonians 5:23
