Prince was HOT in D.C. tonight!! I am just getting home from the first D.C. concert and it was ridiculous!!! Prince was totally AWESOME!!! It was classic and having tickets through the NPG membership really puts you at an advantage for seating. I was 4 rows from the stage and it was an incredible experience. I appreciate the gifts that he chooses to share with the world - music and love. What a superb individual. He entered the room in a large box that looked as if it were a speaker box - and exited in the same fashion. It was interesting. The band came in right behind this box and they casually departed in the same manner, as well. They were accessable and really 'played' with the audience on this tour. He did so many of his hits and played for about 2 and one half hours. It was just GREAT. God Bless Prince Forever!! [This message was edited Thu Aug 12 22:49:17 2004 by Tangerine442]

I was there too. I was in the front row near the drums. Where he threw his hat in to the crowd.
My wife and I were blown away. I shook most of the band members hands as they came by. I think Prince was rolled in the big equipment case. I had so much fun.

I was in the section behind the drums too! Wow. I did get a chance to make eye contact with him as I stood in the chair a few times - and he looked at me and smiled. However, I didn't get close enough to get to the stage or connect with the band members. What a night to remember! Peace!!

My sister in law was in the same row as you. I was on the other side in row b before I traded with someone to sit with my wife in Row G. The show was off the hook, for real. I took my 7 year old son and had him on my shoulders all night and at one point Prince smiled at him and pointed to him. That was the highlight for me.

We were two rows behind you in row K! I thought that was so precious when Prince did that! Was your son excited? I sure was and it wasn't even me...WOW I'm not as self-absorbed as I thought, huh? These reviews are making me more melancholy. It's bad enough I have to sit here in Chicago and read about last night's concert. What's even worse is me whining to God why I'm not rich or at least have enough funds like SOME PEOPLE, so I can follow Prince around on his Musicology 2004ever Tour.
I went to all five Chicago shows, the aftershow at HOB (danced on stage), and even flew to Toronto to see Prince in concert; but it seems like my imagination went wild and none of those concerts existed in reality. Now I'm reading how D.C.people shook the band members hands, Prince pointing at a future 'Prince' and I wonder, "Did I really see Prince in concert or did I dream it?" I need to be in D.C.!!!! I've never been to D.C. so seeing Prince in the nation's capital would be an awesome experience. Heck! I should be traveling the entire east coast with Prince. Keep the reviews coming so I can live vicariously through the D.C. Purpleheads experiences.

You make me laugh because after you see a Prince concert it does feel like it was a dream weeks after the concert...I was even thinking of finding a way to go to Philly to see him again since he's in the Northeast

Fantastic show! Especially the acoustic performance. Highlight of the show was the face he made when they played a sample from the Time that goes "We don't like new wave! Bahahahaha!"
I was in the front row directly behind the drums...

That would be my best bet as far as trying to make it to one more concert before he leaves the east coast.

I was so depressed cause it was over I think most of us hardcores experienced this, I know I did. This is a testament to how good to show is, and of how incredible his music is. The road you choose to walk in this life, is a road that leads to the next.....
