¿General Admission to the Concerts.....Will It Work? What are your opinions on whether or not this new plan will work, and whether or not it is beneficial or make the ticket situation worse? I think it has great potential and may work after several concerts, but it will need some serious organization to make it a great success. For example, will (or moreover, could) people be assigned numbers (not seats) to determine who will go through the door first to grab their seats in order to keep some form of order? I mean, the first thought that came to my mind was a scene in "Jingle All the Way" when all those people are fighting and biting for that toy. I certainly hope that scene will not become a reality at any of the concerts.

It may not last, but i think expects his fams to be "chill" at the shows if they have the best seats. But having been to many a show in my day,i can say that every general admission show had the "asshole element" to it,but don't let assholes ruin it for you..

After reading they're reason for the GA system (not to crash the server since seating wouldn't matter) I see why they did it. I still don't like it (not anticipating the pressure) but I understand why they did it. I'm just glad they're trying to give us all the best possible experience...

I just don't need the stress. I want to get there around 5:30pm get my ticket and go to soundcheck. Now I know I'm guranteed a seat within the first 15 rows, but just like everyone else I want to be dead center and within the first 5 rows, so I will be stressed about this until I get to my seat, and I'm sure I'll be 15th row because everyone else will get there at 9am. I would rather have a random system or just first come first serve. Too much craziness this way. ______________________________________________

Eye saw P in San Jose california in 2001 and it was also general admission but there were 2 people there that were handing out numbers in line 2 determine who would walk through the doors 1st, eye'm assuming they were members of 1 of his fan clubs, or they could have been just ordinary people just trying 2 do something that would prevent alot of madness, u know what,it worked. I'm sure somebody will come up with this same idea.

Personally I dont think that the security at thesse really nice places he's planning on playing are going to be able to cope with pushing, shoving, swearing Prince fans all trying to get up front. And then there's the standing for hours guarding your seat, really wishing you could leave to go use the restroom. You know you're going to have to stand there, tense and crushed against other people for 2 hours between the souncheck and the concert.
Just remembering seeing him in Birmingham in 97 and the fiasco with fans breaking the doors when they were opened, and getting crushed and elbowed, and felt up and sworn at y people who crashed the nice line we'd had since 10am when they showed up at 7pm. Not looking forward to GA seating, even if it IS only 200 NPGMC people. -- Just another Prince lovin, VW drivin, SuperMommy wannabe
