Mike Phillips: Has left the band. His last concert with Prince was possibly at the Essence festival.
Mike Phillip's last gig was the June 20, 2004 Auburn Hills show. He was summarily fired by Prince prior to the June 21st Auburn Hills gig (I attended both nights as well as six other shows and his absence was very noticeable at first, until Maceo got more comfortable with the setlist). Supposedly, Prince did not like the fact that Mike was hitting on girls in the first few rows around the stage while he was offstage! | |
