Eye am trying my best not 2 bitch, but Eye have 2 use a ridiculous company intranet system just 2 get a day off, and the closer the day is, the less likely it will get approved. So going off 2 see an independent artist like Prince, who cancelled HIS ENTIRE TOUR last year, after I had the days off, is seemingly doing it again. Either way, Eye will b there, with our without a job! So Eye hope 2 b there in Atlanta, which is a pretty good Prince town, and not a terribly long drive from Orlando, if Eye bring enough CDs...

Here we go again. Honestly, I'm sure my friends are already making plans to come to Atlanta based on what I told them were "Confirmed" dates. Already, the local weekly lists the dates as April 2nd and 3rd, so y'all tell me what f**k. I swear Prince does this shit on purpose. Think it's frustrating 4 us? Imagine working at the NPGMC and dealing not only with their boss' eccentricity, but our incessant questions and complaints. God forbid Prince might allow anyone to PLAN attending his shows. Some of us do have jobs and other commitments and are not as "Free" as others.

Indeed, what if I'd requested time off from work or planned a trip and the show is moved or postponed? The jury is still out on bang 4 the buck with NPGMC, and the handling (or lack of it) of this tour will go a long way in determining my future renewal. Thusfar, the downloads have more than satisfied me, but we know they're gone. Hopefully, everything will b cool, but my tolerance for the "priveledge" of spending my hard-earned cash is being seriously tested. Fams, please don't jump on me 4 bitching or whatever. If you've been die hard for 19 years like me, u know what I'm talking about.

Yeah but what if someone had booked and paid for a flight from London into Miami to see the show he WAS doing in Sunrise, FL on the 4th and also had made plans to see the other Florida shows that WERE on the 5th and 6th and had also paid for an internal flight to NY on the 8th so they could catch the NY show??

Oh but hang on a minute (heavy sarcasm) that's exactly what i did do mad

Shit! I thought, what am I gonna do now? Can't get my money back off the airline unless I have a very good reason to cancel, death of close family member or SERIOUS illness. OK I thought, I'll just have to be flexible, I'll still be able to catch the second Atlanta show and then just have to follow the tour around until it's time to fly home.

So I gear myself up for this Atlanta pre-sale today and surprise, surprise!! Pre-sale Postponed! I've been a fan for a long time now, since around '86, and it don' get any easier mad mad mad mad

Now I guess someone will read this whiny, bitching little tale of woe and tell me to A. get a life or perhaps B. that all this is a gift and that I should be more grateful when Prince or/and his people cancel/postpone/alter/reschedule shows.

Oh I nearly forgot 3: Any and all of the dates are subject to change so you should have known better than to book time off work and book flights you dumbass!

Well come on then I know someone will. Go right ahead and give me a good kicking while I'm down

well, it's a pain for all of us, but my only advice is to not make any reservations until you have the tickets in hand--or a confirmation from ticketmaster in case of will call. NPGMC has said many times that all dates could change with little to no warning until confirmed--and none of the dates other than those played already and Washington and Atlanta have been confirmed.

For what it's worth, Ticketmaster says the presale will begin monday at noon.

this is f-ing RIDICULOUS.... i already totally rearranged my vacation schedule b/c he scrapped the florida dates...and now this?? this music club is pathetic. now they're gonna (MAYBE) send us an update e-mail tonight to tell us "oh, by the way, you need to be in front of a computer tomorrow at 10 a.m." - because, you know, NONE of us have LIVES or anything. i'm so tired of making concessions for such an obviously demented, selfish man and his ass-backwards business ventures. i think if he anounces the presale is tomorrow at 10 i'll just go to my dr.'s appt (no, that's not his fault, but it's an example of the fact that people are not always able to rearrange their schedules at his whim) and screw the concerts....not even sure i'd enjoy them that much after such aggravation. sigh.

Jessica, Ticketmaster is full of it! How can the presale begin at 12n when they have the general public sale posted as 10am?

Good point, Sherri. Sigh.

Maybe they're reserving a block of tickets for club members? I dunno, just trying to look on the bright side. smile

And yes, before anyone asks, I've been a fan for a looooong time; I expect there to be snarls, but it all works out in the end. (It all comes out in the wash, in time...)

I hope that you're right. I'm just going to sit back and see what happens. LOL! Peace out.
