Well, when you're trying to purchase tickets while on a conference call with a client, you don't have time to try every variation. I figured they hadn't cleared the password yet, so I waited until later (which is what the error message basically told you to do).

Some of us follow instructions, and expect those instructions to be correct.

Stop being salty! Damn you still get to be at sound check. There is still good to your story, just not as much as mine!!

SPOILED?!?

Let's recap. We paid $100. We get four CDs. We also get the "right" to buy items at inflated NEWFUNK prices?

About $40 of our membership value is in the right to get presales. If I pay $40 to buy tickets before all the other clowns in DC (who will be whining--"play Doves Cry!"), I expect my money's worth.

I don't need their bullshit screw-ups. I had enough in 1997 waiting 12 months for them to find the post-it note at Paisley Park where they wrote my Crystal Ball order.

HEY MAN CALM THE FUCK DOWN...I'm on YOUR side....I'm pissed as hell too in fact I'm considering NOT going to this thing!
Maybe I should've said I AM spoiled....cuz I have been kinda used to getting pretty good seats and I have been FANTASIZING for the past few weeks about my first row at warner theater only to have THIS shit happen!

LCD--I wasn't attacking you in my post, I was just trying to illustrate that those of us complaining are not spoiled. Someone who pays $100, and gets 4 CDs plus unkept promises is not spoiled. I was really replying to XENO, not you.

First of all, I would be willing to bet there is no soundcheck on Friday, considering Paula Poundstone is performing first, and Prince probably does not want to play on Good Friday because Larry G will banish him like he did me.

I'm not going on Saturday.

Sunday is Easter. Think Prince is going to do a soundcheck on Easter, especially after two shows at the same venue?

If I get to go to a soundcheck, I will never bitch about NPGMC again, even if those 4 CDs they send us contain nothing but Carmen Electra outtakes.

Come on now, the sound check is about more than just the sound system. He's using that time to get you close to him, to talk, let him know what's on your mind.

Your right there maynot be a sound check Friday but I bet he still let the members in to see and hear him speak, HELL he might even talk longer since he's really not checking out the sound.

Sat> Bro I can't help you there....lol

Sunday, Again you have to understand he's posting on he's music club and on here that people are getting to be close and personal with him so, just because he's already done 2 shows doesn't mean that the same people will be there, so again there should be a sound check to get with his Fam. - Nah Meah.

LOOK HERE Y'ALL!!!!! Everyone needs to check themselves and CHILL!!!!! I mean really.....where’s the LOVE at in here?????

HOW U GOnna look a gift horse in the mouth!!!! A gift u say? YES I say!!! NPGMC members have been given the GIFT of purchasing tickets before the public! That means that with out this GIFT, every last one of us could very well be sitting with the people, as one of u said, “(who will be whining--"play Doves Cry!")”.

I know that it is frustrating about the password. None of us know for sure what happened, so there is no need for assumptions here! Assumptions are falsies that can only spawn bad things. So, we don’t know the story. If it was a mistake….then hey, we r all only human, right. U all must know that Prince has been very concerned about this in the recent past and has worked hard with ticketmaster to fix the problem. Why has he been working on this……because he WANTS U to have good seats!!!! That is the point of the gift of pre-ticket sales for this exclusive group!!

So, please be thankful for what we have access to! He doesn’t have to any of this!!!

And yes we paid a price for these gifts. A price of $100! One of u broke that price down…..but again that is a falsie. Personally, would have paid more to be allowed the perks that come with this club. The price seemed like chump change after I had the chance to attend just one sound check!! That experience was also a gift, a priceless gift!!!!!

So, please, let us not look a gift horse in the mouth! There aren’t any other musician of his status that’s does this!!! And who knows how long it will last!!!

Lets all be thankful!!! I know its frustrating, but let’s just deal!!

Don’t get me wrong, I could probably complain about seating too, but I can see the whole picture and can put everything into perspective, and that is all I am asking of u all!

LUV 2 1another y’all!! We got 2 come 2gether!!!!! In everyway!!!!!

I don't think he'll skip the soundcheck - he's preforming on Easter as it is, so what difference would the soundcheck make? I think you're safe.

Good points, but I take issue with you calling in a "GIFT" to be able to purchase in a pre-sale. A "gift" would be giving NPGMC members a 10% discount on tickets, not "letting" them by $150 tickets before the so-called "public".

We pay $100--which is not chump change. Then, we spend $450-900 (depending if you bring a guest) to see three shows. Ultimately, for $1000, you should get some pretty damned nice seats, because you are obviously a true fan. For $1000, you deserve FIRST CLASS treatment and should not be affraid to demand it.

All I am asking for is for someone to post the correct password. It really isn't that difficult; it's not a lot to ask.

Uhm, folks,

The radio station here, I think WKYS, is giving away tickets - already. And the DJ actually suggested folks try to call ticketmaster today for seats. I thought the public sale starts on the 23rd. What's that all about? She also said that Friday's show starts at MIDNIGHT. I'm just gonna be happy with Saturday.

Get ready for two weeks of nothing but When Doves Cry, LRC, U Got the Look, Kiss, Rasberry Beret, and I Wanna Be Your Lover. KYS and PGC never play anything new by Prince, but they always bombard us with these God-awful hits over-and-over whenever he comes to town.

And you wonder why people go to these shows expecting to hear the hits?

I couldnt agree with you more. I dont know how many times in that past 24 hours I've started up my car and Prince was on the radio. That would be great if they represented Prince for what Prince is today. These people that arent followers of Prince's music will have a surprise at the concert. I dont understand why the Radio stations like KYS and PGC can hype him up once a year. But cant play him any other time. Its a shame.

Some of us naysayers have the remarkable ability to continue whining even after the music starts. Just wait until the first few notes of the 10,568th version of Purple Rain starts smile

Yeah, you're right. They are promoting this as an oldies show. Some "winner" was shreiking about seeing P in 1984. And the DJ was gushing "Giiirrrllll if the show starts at midnight, do you know what this man is gonna do?" Well, I laughed to myself, cause I'm getting the feeling there are gonna be some really surprised folk. I hope the rest of us are able to enjoy the show. Last time P came to B-more, I sat in front of a guy who complained the entire time. Shows in DC tend to have fewer belligerent concert goers. I'm hoping for the best.

KYS and PGC are head and shoulders above anything in B-more! (What does that tell you). For Prince music - the old Howard Univ. station (WHUR?) is better.

WHUR is where it's at. They had Wasted Kisses on their play list in '98. That's what I call a radio station.

The reason that Prince is OK with performing on Good Friday and Easter is that neither are celebrated in the beliefs of JWs. They celebrate 'The Memorial of Christ's death'. I don't know the date this year, but it doesn't generally coincide with the Easter holidays.

Now, I did fear the lack of a soundcheck on Friday due to the Poundstone show. So I bought tickets to the Saturday night show -- Row E. Quite excited about what I've heard from the previous shows, and I hope that he hasn't listened to the casual fans and added back all the hits. I've heard the hits live enough already.

See y'all there!

Maybe the guy in front of you in Baltimore was tired of the hits like the rest of the real hardcore fans. Maybe that's why he was complaining. And, I think that DC and Baltimore concerts have the same type of "concert goers"! It's the same Prince people going to both shows!
