Thanks for posting the highlights.
I am still pissed that Prince did not have one damn aftershow in Detroit. Even after doing 5 shows. He must not love Detroit like he used too..

I heard he betrayed the vegans & ate fish the other day to replenish his nutrients!! The world is truly ending... and Prince is responsible. What a bastard

Tired my ass. I guess he only does aftershows or afterparties in the 'hip' cities.

Cool, so I didn't miss any aftershow performances! At least they had the decency to tell the fans where the afterparty was this time (unlike the April show).

I wanted him to do an aftershow here after hearing about the other cities that got them. Well, I hope the Bay area gets an aftershow or afterparties..

I think he probably drove by Velvet Room and then headed for eleven50. He was there from about 1:00 until after 4:00 in the morning, so any hopping that he did happened pre-eleven50. Went and saw Prince at the Philips arena in Atlanta for the second night in a row on August 10, 2004. Left the hotel about a half an hour earlier than the day before. Got the tickets and ate again before entering the arena. Went and found our seats. This time we were in section 3 in the second row behind the drum kit. We grabbed a drink and wandered around and talked to other fans. Jason had a P-Funk shirt on and I had my Time shirt and pimp hat on so all kinds of folks were talking to us. Very Cool.
Almost right at 7:30 p.m. the light went off and we started to our seats. We had heard rumors that Sheila E might open this show and we knew Prince wasn't coming on that early. The familiar ticking started and we were as hyped as a Mug. The Time two nights in a row!! The fellas came down the aisle to the right of us and hit the stage shortly thereafter. Here is the setlist. 1. Ho Parade 2. Wild and loose 3. The Stick 4. Fishnet 5. The Oak Tree 6. Jerk Out 7. Get it up 8. Cool 9. 777-9311 10. Gigolos get lonely too 11. The Bird encore 12. Jungle Love. The exact same setlist as the day before, but for some reason I enjoyed this show better. As always the fellas were tight as hell. Tori and Jerome saw us so that was cool. The crowd seemed to be into this one more. After the Bird, Jerome had all the women who danced on stage in a circle calling Morris back to the stage. Jellybean was laughing his ass off at this. Freeze played that kick ass bass line before Jungle Love again. About half an hour after the Times set, The lights went off and the RRHOF speech started. We saw the band members come down the aisle, but no Prince. It seems they had him in a big box and pushed it under the stage. Hilarious. Here is the setlist 1. Musicology 2. Let's go Crazy 3. I would die 4 U 4. When Doves Cry(with Kiss guitar part) 5. Baby I'm a Star(with 1999 beginning)- they jammed on this one for a long time 6. Shh-always a highlight and Prince did an incredible solo at the sent of the song 7 D.M.S.R(pass the peas)- now that's a Funk Jam 8. I feel 4 u- With Glamorous Life intro 9.Controversy- Now this has been a jam at all the show, did part of a Love Bizarre and the housquake chant. He also mentioned Rick James and played some of Give it to me baby before going back into Controversy 10 God(instrumental)- same as the last few time, Renato on keys with the samples from the movie 11. Georgia on my Mind- maceo on vocals 12. Sometimes it snows in April Prince comes back on stage for the acoustic part of the show 13 Little red Corvette 14. Cream 15. I wanna be your lover- sweet 16.Prince and the Band- I like this song, he also gave props to Morris and the Time 17. Alphabet st 18. When will we b paid- nice to hear this live 19. 17 Days- now this got me hyped 20 Something in the water(does not compute)- and I lost it when he did this one 21. On the couch 22 Raspberry Beret 23. 7- The band comes back in 24 Sign o' the Times 25. Pop Life 26. Whole lotta Love- WTF Now Jason and I came unglued. We were headbanging and it kicked ass. Prince doing Zep and ripping it up on Guitar. I use to have this neighbor that lived behind me and he would walk through my yard all the time and if I happened to be in my yard when he was cutting threw it he would come up to me with his guitar and say" hey man listen to this" he would then play the beginning of whole lotta love and say" That's all I know" and walk off. Jason had said something to the effect that Prince should do the same and he had no idea that Prince has been playing this live so that was funny. John had an awesome drum solo and I thought he was going to play Moby dick or something. Another highlight for sure. 27 Let's work- Prince played bass on this 28. u got the look- tons of people got on stage. prince gave his guitar to a young lady and she stayed up there for 5 songs with it. Very cool and she was getting the crowd into it 29. Life of the party 30 Soul Man- Chance on vocals 31. Kiss 32 Take me with U- a little girl got on stage and she knew the lyrics, the solos fallowed and the main part of the show ended with the 777 drum beat and we don't like new wave sample encore 33. The Beautiful Ones- now this is my favorite prince song so this was very Cool 34. Nothing Compares 2 U 35 Purple Rain The Band members left down the center aisle again and I guess prince rolled back out in the box again since it went by us again and we never saw him.The first show was fantastic, but this one was out of the park. The acoustic show which was the only part of the first show that I didn't really dig was top notch tonight. Lots of guitar playing. It seems like every I go and see prince the show gets better and as long as he keeps putting on shows like this I'll keep going

"Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Aah aah aah aah aah aah aah aah aah" Also, Prince and The NPG was jammin' during Mike Scott and his "Dip"
