HI..... Yes, I was there and it WAS Awesome. We were in the 2nd row! I loved seeing him on a regular stage.. the round is cool.... but he was right in front of us almost the WHOLE show!!!!! And when the fire works were going off behind us.. wow, just magic.. You are correct.. that was an incredible night!!!!!

Yes, I was there. I don't think Prince likes playing for Milwaukee audiences...He's always in "hit it and quit it" mode...never special songs.... No aftershows.

I would rather have heard Question of U, The Beautiful Ones, or Call My Name. Forget the fireworks...

I was at the concert - and I was so disappointed with the venue that I went home got on line in the morning and got Tickets to Auburn Hills.
When I left Milwaukee - I felt a bit empty - Prince was good - but it was almost like his heart was not as much into it. I think it was the change in venue. He worked the crowd - and was fun - but many of the songs that had been listed on previous setlists were not sung. Auburn Hills Was off the hook!!!! I felt great leaving (wish I could have stayed and had him sing to me all night)- so great I drove the 8 hrs home no problem!!!! I would go a million miles to see a show like Auburn Hill again. (Hopefully if it was taped I only need to go to HBO or Showtime) It could be the Summer fest thing - maybe the people were not as into Prince due to the fact that it was a fest - but they just didn't seem to interact as much as I saw in Auburn Hills. Not to say the the NPG Members weren't into it - but people around me left early - and spent more time getting more beer then enjoying the concert. Again the is all IMO. Maybe if you took off that chastity belt you could breath a little mo betta.

I had the same impression. The show was great but the crowd just wasn't into it. Lots of non-fans and fibs who just were there to drink and see any show at Summerfest. Very distracting to those of us who were into it! Prince tried really hard to win over the crowd by stopping songs a lot and coaching - don't know what more he could have done. The crowd barely sung along and people were talking during the accoustic set. Not sure if being outside lessened the crowd noise. I wish I could have seen him indoors in the round with more fans in the crowd. Definately still a great show though.

You would have loved seeing him in Auburn Hill then. I can't tell you how great that show was!!! He stopped maybe twice to get the fans back on track - the crowd was much better!!! And it made a huge difference. I hope if he comes to Milwaukee again he doesn't do it during summer fest. Maybe if you took off that chastity belt you could breath a little mo betta.

The Milwaukee show was entertaining, but the two Chicago shows I saw were far superior!
