Barry, you have two options. The smartest would be to take the Marta train to the venue. There are two stations in the vicinity of the hotel, Dunwoody (behind Perimeter Mall) and Sandy Springs. You will need to catch the Airport train that travels southbound. Ride the Airport train until you get to Five Points train station. Get off and follow the signs to the East/West Rail Line one floor above the North/South Rail Line. Take either of the Westbound trains to the Philips Arena/CNN/GA Dome station one stop after Five points. The Philips/CNN/Dome station is adjacent to the Arena. Going back to the hotel; take the eastbound train from Philips to five points and then take the Northbound train back to your hotel. Be sure to take catch the North Springs train when returning on the North rail line.

Your other option would be taking GA 400 south to I-75/I-85 South
Take I-75/85 South and exit at Williams Street - Exit 249C
Turn right on Baker Street
Turn left onto Centennial Olympic Park Drive.

I highly recommend riding MARTA because the traffic here in Atlanta is awful. GA 400 and I-75/85 have notoriously bad traffic during the evening hours so your safest bet, to get to the concert on time, would be riding the MARTA train. Parking at Philips can be really expensive. Marta's fare is only $3.50 roundtrip.

I have enclosed a copy of the Marta rail map for you:

I hope this helps you.

Failte, Barry! I know nothing about Atlanta, but I'm glad you got some help. I read in your profile that you're in Cork. My mother's from Kerry; I'm trying to visit in the next year.

I'm happy to help and yes Marta is really convenient when going to Philips.

unless you're willing to spring the $20 for up close parking, take MARTA.
