This past Saturday (July 24) was my first ever concert overall. I'm 17 and became a Prince fan about a year ago and I must say that this show blew me away, it was the greatest thing I've ever seen. Recently I've had alot of personal problems up to that point and for 3 hours Prince helped me forget about my problems. I wish he had played 1999 and Rasberry Beret but other than that the show was AWESOME . I hope this is not his last tour, if he comes back I will be sure to get tickets for all of his Chicago shows! Thanks for reading, I just wanted to express what I am feeling right now.

you sure did pick an incredible concert to start with!!!!! That's so awesome that you got to go this weekend. Congratulations on getting to see Prince live for the 1st time. Unlike most org'ers who've seen Prince hundreds of times, I've only seen him three times. (Fourth show is on the way in August.) With the exception of Bobby McFerrin live in concert(highly recommended), it's possible that no other concert you go to will ever match up to the Prince show you just saw!

According to Prince, this tour will be the last time he plays "the hits". So it appears that at any future tours/shows he'll be presenting the newer music that he's been doing....as opposed to the songs that he's been playing over and over and over since the '80s.

I have been a Prince fan for over 20 years... I have seen him ALOT in concert.. I have heard his lines about NEVER PLAYING THESE SONGS AGAIN several times..... but he comes back to them..
But even if he only starts playing NEWER stuff... I would recommend you come back and see his show..
I have always left the shows in awe.. even when some of them were not EXCELLENT they were still worthy of me coming again and again!!!!!
Hopefully you will be able to see alot more shows in the future!!!!!

Although i have been a fan from the beginning, this was my second time seeing him... and i had the best time of my life!!! Never danced so much, a true party!!! Hey i am cool with him giving up the old hits if that is what he wants to do. I love musicology, its refreshing and still very sexy, i was hoping to hear more of the newer songs. As long as he will be back with some kind of tour, well that is all that matters!!

I told my friend that I thought he danced his behind off on Friday, but Saturday he was just plain in the mood to mess with the audience's heads. What was that thing with him spankin' on his guitar during the acoustic set? How cool was that, anyway? If this was your first show, you picked a good night.
