So who got the blanket?

It's 7a.m. as I'm typing this. I just hauled my weary behind in from the House of Blues aftershow, and even though I'm tore up from the floor up, for the life of me I cannot shut my eyes without seeing the image of Prince holding out a pizza box at us.

So, okay - the story: At last night's show (the main show, not the aftershow), Prince did the bit where a chick dressed as a waitress comes up and takes an order...later in the show she returned to the stage and dropped off a pizza in the "lounge" section of the stage, right in front of where TheOrgerFormerlyKnownAs and I were seated. A bit after that, during one of the bits where someone's soloing and Prince is goofing around, he picked up the pizza box, came over right in front of us, opened the lid, and fed us some veggie pizza!

TOFKA, myself and the couple next to us each got a slice. Then Prince told the guy next to TOFKA to take the box and pass it around, but unfortunately, the rest of the pizza wound up on the floor. Then Prince skipped off and did his bit where he's sitting on the sofa reading the Rolling Stone w/ his picture on it, then he came back over carrying a blanket and mouthed "YOU'RE EATING MY PIZZA!" and threw the blanket over our heads.

So anyway, I have a lot more to ramble on about regarding Saturday night in Chicago with Prince, but I just had to get this moment outta my system and share if I hope to get ANY sleep before tonight's Berlin party.

So, anyway. I'll be damned if Prince Rogers Nelson didn't give me some pizza last night.


That was totally Awesome! We were sitting 3 rows directly infront of his little table and we could see perfectly..
Prince looked So hot... lol
you guys are so lucky.. Isn't it great when Prince interacts like that.

Kooldrinkahhhh and I got the blanket but they took it back. We didn't get any pizza though. cause the guy dropped it on the floor.

Anxiety did the skinny guy with the long hair and eyelashes really eat the pizza off the floor?

...seriously, we DID ditch dinner to get to our seats in time, the man was doing us a serious service.

It was insane that the eyelash guy asked the security guy to get him a piece of pizza off the floor.

It was even more insane that the security guy, without even batting an eye, bent down, picked up some pizza from the floor, and handed it to the dude!

I wish I would've known about the aftershow ahead of time. I might have made the trip just for that.

Although it's hard to say who's gonna like what exactly, I'm quite confident that you would not have felt like the aftershow would have been worth a trip. I enjoyed listening to Modest Mouse and Franz Ferdinand on my CD player driving there and back infinitely more than I enjoyed the so-called "aftershow" at the House of Booze.

by the way, anx, from where i was standing it looked like p said "you dropped my pizza?!" i would slapped that fool who dropped it...i was hungry, lol!
