not really a whole lot to report. prince was at both - he was with the band on friday night - but it was mainly just a DJ spinning music and people dancing.

the parties thurs. and fri. were kind of a bust in my opinion. if i would have known there would have been an aftershow scheduled in addition to two afterparties with no performances, i would have skipped the parties and gone right to the aftershow, then got my paisley ya-yas out the following night at berlin's monthly prince party. as it is, i basically paid 25 bucks to go to a bar that i'm not crazy about, pay way too much for drinks, get accosted every 30 seconds by people soliciting everything from glow in the dark shots to caricatures (?!), and attempt to dance to music via an aggressively mediocre DJ (after this week, i'm never EVER nitpicking about samnation's spinning at berlin - EVAH!)...bleh!

so i got a couple of glimpses of prince - that was exciting, but eh...not the kind of thing i pay twennyfive bucks for. i got to dance with the lovely and talented miss lace for a bit, though i'm sure we'll be feelin' it more at the party sunday night.

i don't think i'll be doing any more excalibur afterparties if they're arranged for subsequent tours.

as for the HOB aftershow tonight....now THAT will be exciting. dancing jig

Excalibur has and always will suck. I was dragged into that place once (kicking and screaming) and it was as I feared. Surprised it was there...really.
