Aftershow or Afterparty in Detroit I will be very dissappointed if P doesn't do an Afterparty or Aftershow in The D..
I can't image why he wouldn't. He is doing a total of 5 shows in Michigan, 2 were last month and 3 more July 30th-August 1st. The only other cities that had the same amount of shows or more were NYC, LA and Chicago and they all got an Aftershow or Afterpary. I know he is not obligated but it would be a nice way to show his appreciation. I just know P wouldn't do us Detroiters like that. If he doesn't give either, then I will be stalking him at his hotel.. j/k

Girl, you are CRAZY!
Body-ah's party sounds like fun... I'm hittin' the dance floor hard! Don't dance too close to me, 'cause you might catch an elblow! Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

There's been no word from the Paisley camp about Detroit having an official afterwhatever. I do recall asking one of the roadies who was tearing down the stage after the June 21 Palace gig if there was anything happening that night and the roadie said no. But the roadie did say that there might be something in the works for downtown Motown because Musicology lesson No. 3 is at Joe Louis Arena, and there are more things to do and places to attend than say, Auburn Hills.
But this was before the drowning accident of JB's daughter and that put afterparties and aftershows on the back-burner. But as you can see Prince and the Band had afterparties in NYC and Chicago and are planning an aftershow at the House of Blues in the Windy City. Maybe there will be an announcement coming this weekend or early next week. If not, you can be assured there are TWO unofficial fan-organized afterparties planned after the July 30 gig at The Joe -- from 10p-2a at AGAVE (FREE with food and outdoors) and from 10p-4a at OSLO (limited capacity, $5 entry, 21 + over, put on by Detroit Crawl friends Body-Ah's). As well, The Crawl is throwing two pre-party meet and greets on July 31 and 31 at The Post Bar - July 30 downtown on Congress (from 5-7 pm) and July 31 at the one in Auburn Hills (across street from The Palace, 4:30-7pm). THe Crawl advises you to park at The Post across the street from The Palace and save a little dough ($$$). Take the post shuttle for $2 roundtrip. We will be meeting at The Auburn Hill's Post upstairs near the bar. [This message was edited Sun Jul 25 20:36:12 2004 by a2grafix]
