I'm trying to get tickets to the same show. Please let me know if you have any lead on great seats. I believe the Marriot is close to the venue.

I'm travelling over from the UK for the Friday 13th show.
It'll be my first ever gig on U.S. soil (but my 7th P. gig).
We're staying at the Wyndham Washington, I don't think that's too far away.
Have a good time dude! smile

The Renaissance at the Convention Center, the Grand Hyatt and the Marriott Metro Center are all within two blocks of MCI Center. Also, if you want to save quite a bit on the hotel and parking, stay in Crystal City (across the river near National Airport) and take the Metro, which drops you off right at MCI Center. I often stay at the Marriott Crystal Gateway which is connected to the Crystal City Metro station. From there, just take the yellow line up to the Gallery Place/Chinatown/MCI center stop. (An 8-minute trip). Weekend rates at the Marriott Crystal Gateway are 30-40 percent lower than at comparable hotels right in DC.

There are actually a few hotels in that area. There are two Marriotts in the area (doing this from memory, as I haven't been there in about a year or so. There's the Crystal Gateway Marriott, which is the closest to the Metro. Then there is the Crystal City Marriott, the Sheraton Crystal City, a Holiday Inn, a Days Inn, and a Hyatt Regency.

I couldn't tell you which one is cheaper, but the Gateway Marriott is closest to the Metro. I don't know if you plan on hanging out after the show, but find out what time the Metro closes down for the night. I'm toying around with hoppin on "The Hound" from NYC for the 8/14 show, but I don't have to worry about a hotel. I got family in town. biggrin
