My Louisville experience I won't go into too much detail, just wanted to highlight the positives and negatives of my experience. this was the third prince concert i've attended, and musically it was just as good or better than the previous two. i have to say that prince is on top of his game in both showmanship and musicianship. i know of no other performing musician in this day and age that can match him. to have the man play in my hometown is an honor and a privelige.
highlights: 1. the soundcheck! 2. being able to disagree with prince, and have him change the subject during the religious discussion. doubletalk, changing the subject, and pointed questions are no way to win converts to your religion, sorry prince. it was nice though, because i'm sure it got people thinking about things. 3. the stage, lighting, visuals and sound were perfect for the mood the music set. 4. meeting many nice and wonderful people. yvonne and her husband, who sat next to me and my sister during the soundcheck. jen (from minneapolis) and her brother (from st. louis) who sat next to us were very nice, friendly and fun to sit next to during the show. 5. all the songs i never thought i'd be able to hear live. 6. prince's medley on the keyboard at the beginning. just beautiful! i need a recording of this show! lowlights: 1. prince thinks he's a savior now. too bad so sad. i respect a person's spiritual journey, but the "truth" will never be spoken, it can only be shared non-verbally. your actions, not the book you read or the god you follow. this is what separates us now and forever. as soon as you proclaim yourself right, others become wrong. his spirituality has always been confused, and i think he just fell in with people who were able to use his confusion against him. that being said, i will always support his music. we all have different religious and spiritual views, and that isn't a bad thing... i guess that's all... if you've read this far, you're a brave soul.. heheh... gnight'

YAWN! This whole line of discussion is worn out. Prince thinks he's a savior..BLAH BLAH BLAH! And apparently it's okay for YOU to believe YOUR belief system is the only right one, but it's not okay for him to believe in what ever HE believes in! "as soon as you proclaim yourself right, others become wrong." And you disagreeing with Prince openly makes YOU a person who proclaims himself RIGHT. And that says WHAT?

It's called witnessing. God speaks through those who listen.
